Read Hebrews 4
1 NITORINA, ẹ jẹ ki a bẹ̀ru, bi a ti fi ileri ati wọ̀ inu isimi rẹ̀ silẹ fun wa, ki ẹnikẹni ninu nyin ki o má bã dabi ẹnipe o ti kùna rẹ̀.
1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 Nitoripe a ti wasu ihinrere fun wa gẹgẹ bi fun awọn na, ṣugbọn ọ̀rọ ti nwọn gbọ́ kò ṣe wọn ni ire, nitoriti kò dàpọ mọ́ igbagbọ́ ninu awọn ti o gbọ́ ọ.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 Nitoripe awa ti o ti gbagbọ́ wọ̀ inu isimi gẹgẹ bi o ti wi, Bi mo ti bura ninu ibinu mi, nwọn ki yio wọ̀ inu isimi mi: bi o tilẹ ti ṣe pe a ti pari iṣẹ wọnni lati ipilẹ aiye.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 Nitori o ti sọ nibikan niti ọjọ keje bayi pe, Ọlọrun si simi ni ijọ keje kuro ninu iṣẹ rẹ̀ gbogbo.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 Ati nihinyi ẹ̀wẹ pe, Nwọn ki yio wọ̀ inu isimi mi.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Nitorina bi o ti jẹ pe, o kù ki awọn kan wọ̀ inu rẹ̀, ati awọn ti a ti wasu ihinrere nã fun niṣãju kò wọ inu rẹ̀ nitori aigbọran:
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Ẹ̀wẹ, o yan ọjọ kan, o wi ninu Iwe Dafidi pe, Loni, lẹhin igba pipẹ bẹ̃; bi a ti wi niṣãju, Loni bi ẹnyin ba gbọ́ ohùn rẹ̀, ẹ máṣe sé ọkàn nyin le.
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 Nitori ibaṣepe Joṣua ti fun wọn ni isimi, on kì ba ti sọrọ nipa ọjọ miran lẹhinna.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 Nitorina isimi kan kù fun awọn enia Ọlọrun.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 Nitoripe ẹniti o ba bọ́ sinu isimi rẹ̀, on pẹlu simi kuro ninu iṣẹ tirẹ̀, gẹgẹ bi Ọlọrun ti simi kuro ni tirẹ̀.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Nitorina ẹ jẹ ki a mura giri lati wọ̀ inu isimi na, ki ẹnikẹni ki o má ba ṣubu nipa apẹrẹ aigbagbọ́ kanna.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
12 Nitori ọ̀rọ Ọlọrun yè, o si li agbara, o si mú jù idàkídà oloju meji lọ, o si ngúnni ani tìti de pipín ọkàn ati ẹmí niya, ati oríke ati ọrá inu egungun, on si ni olumọ̀ erò inu ati ète ọkàn.
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 Kò si si ẹda kan ti kò farahan niwaju rẹ̀, ṣugbọn ohun gbogbo ni o wà nihoho ti a si ṣipaya fun oju rẹ̀ ẹniti awa ni iba lo.
13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.
14 Njẹ bi a ti ni Olori Alufa nla kan, ti o ti la awọn ọ̀run kọja lọ, Jesu Ọmọ Ọlọrun, ẹ jẹ ki a di ijẹwọ wa mu ṣinṣin.
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 Nitori a kò ni olori alufa ti kò le ṣai ba ni kẹdun ninu ailera wa, ẹniti a ti danwo li ọna gbogbo gẹgẹ bi awa, ṣugbọn lailẹ̀ṣẹ.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Nitorina ẹ jẹ ki a wá si ibi itẹ ore-ọfẹ pẹlu igboiya, ki a le ri ãnu gbà, ki a si ri ore-ọfẹ lati mã rànnilọwọ ni akoko ti o wọ̀.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
