¹ NITORINA ẹnyin ará mimọ́, alabapín ìpe ọ̀run, ẹ gbà ti Aposteli ati Olori Alufa ijẹwọ wa ro, ani Jesu;

¹ Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

² Ẹniti o ṣe olõtọ si ẹniti o yàn a, bi Mose pẹlu ti ṣe ninu gbogbo ile rẹ̀.

² Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.

³ Nitori a kà ọkunrin yi ni yiyẹ si ogo jù Mose lọ niwọn bi ẹniti o kọ́ ile ti li ọla jù ile lọ.

³ For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

⁴ Lati ọwọ́ enia kan li a sá ti kọ́ olukuluku ile; ṣugbọn ẹniti o kọ́ ohun gbogbo ni Ọlọrun.

⁴ For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.

⁵ Mose nitõtọ si ṣe olõtọ ninu gbogbo ile rẹ̀, bi iranṣẹ, fun ẹrí ohun ti a o sọ̀rọ wọn nigba ikẹhin;

⁵ And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;

⁶ Ṣugbọn Kristi bi ọmọ lori ile rẹ̀; ile ẹniti awa iṣe, bi awa ba dì igbẹkẹle ati iṣogo ireti wa mu ṣinṣin titi de opin.

⁶ But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

⁷ Nitorina gẹgẹbi Ẹmí Mimọ́ ti wi, Loni bi ẹnyin bá gbọ́ ohùn rẹ̀,

⁷ Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

⁸ Ẹ máṣe sé ọkàn nyin le, bi igba imunibinu, bi li ọjọ idanwò li aginjù:

⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

⁹ Nibiti awọn baba nyin dán mi wò, nipa wiwadi mi, ti nwọn si ri iṣẹ mi li ogoji ọdún.

⁹ When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

¹⁰ Nitorina inu mi bajẹ si iran na, mo si wipe, Nigbagbogbo ni nwọn nṣìna li ọkàn wọn; nwọn kò si mọ̀ ọ̀na mi.

¹⁰ Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

¹¹ Bi mo ti bura ni ibinu mi, nwọn ki yio wọ̀ inu isimi mi.

¹¹ So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

¹² Ẹ kiyesara, ará, ki ọkàn buburu ti aigbagbọ́ ki o máṣe wà ninu ẹnikẹni nyin, ni lilọ kuro lọdọ Ọlọrun alãye.

¹² Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

¹³ Ṣugbọn ẹ mã gbà ara nyin niyanju li ojojumọ́, niwọn igbati a ba npè e ni Oni, ki a má bã sé ọkàn ẹnikẹni ninu nyin le nipa ẹ̀tan ẹ̀ṣẹ.

¹³ But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

¹⁴ Nitori awa di alabapín pẹlu Kristi, bi awa ba dì ipilẹṣẹ igbẹkẹle wa mu ṣinṣin titi de opin;

¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

¹⁵ Nigbati a nwipe, Loni bi ẹnyin bá gbọ́ ohùn rẹ̀, ẹ máṣe sé ọkàn nyin le, bi igba imunibinu.

¹⁵ While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

¹⁶ Nitori awọn tani bi nyin ninu nigbati nwọn gbọ́? Ki ha iṣe gbogbo awọn ti o ti ipasẹ Mose jade lati Egipti wá?

¹⁶ For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

¹⁷ Awọn tali o si binu si fun ogoji ọdún? Ki ha iṣe si awọn ti o dẹṣẹ, okú awọn ti o sun li aginjù?

¹⁷ But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?

¹⁸ Awọn tali o si bura fun pe nwọn kì yio wọ̀ inu isimi on, bikoṣe fun awọn ti kò gbọran?

¹⁸ And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

¹⁹ Awa si ri pe nwọn kò le wọ̀ inu rẹ̀ nitori aigbagbọ́.

¹⁹ So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
