1 NJẸ mo wipe, niwọn igbati arole na ba wà li ewe, kò yàtọ ninu ohunkohun si ẹrú bi o tilẹ jẹ oluwa ohun gbogbo;

1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2 Ṣugbọn o wà labẹ olutọju ati iriju titi fi di akokò ti baba ti yàn tẹlẹ.

2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

3 Gẹgẹ bẹ̃ si li awa, nigbati awa wà li ewe, awa wà li ondè labẹ ipilẹṣẹ ẹda:

3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

4 Ṣugbọn nigbati akokò kíkun na de, Ọlọrun rán Ọmọ rẹ̀ jade wá, ẹniti a bí ninu obinrin, ti a bi labẹ ofin,

4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

5 Lati ra awọn ti mbẹ labẹ ofin pada, ki awa ki o le gbà isọdọmọ.

5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

6 Ati nitoriti ẹnyin nṣe ọmọ, Ọlọrun si ti rán Ẹmí Ọmọ rẹ̀ wá sinu ọkàn nyin, ti nke pe, Abba, Baba.

6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

7 Nitorina iwọ kì iṣe ẹrú mọ́, bikoṣe ọmọ; ati bi iwọ ba iṣe ọmọ, njẹ iwọ di arole Ọlọrun nipasẹ Kristi.

7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

8 Ṣugbọn nigbati ẹnyin kò ti mọ̀ Ọlọrun rí, ẹnyin ti nsìnrú fun awọn ti kì iṣe ọlọrun nipa ẹda.

8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them which by nature are no gods.

9 Ṣugbọn nisisiyi, nigbati ẹnyin ti mọ̀ Ọlọrun tan, tabi ki a sá kuku wipe, ẹ di mimọ̀ fun Ọlọrun, ẽha ti ri ti ẹ fi tun yipada si alailera ati alagbe ipilẹṣẹ ẹda, labẹ eyiti ẹnyin tun fẹ pada wa sinru?

9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

10 Ẹnyin nkiyesi ọjọ, ati oṣù, ati akokò, ati ọdún.

10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.

11 Ẹru nyin mba mi, ki o má ba ṣe pe lasan ni mo ti ṣe lãlã lori nyin.

11 I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

12 Ará, mo bẹ̀ nyin, ẹ dà bi emi; nitori emi dà bi ẹnyin: ẹnyin kò ṣe mi ni ibi kan.

12 Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I am as ye are: ye have not injured me at all.

13 Ṣugbọn ẹnyin mọ̀ pe ailera ara li o jẹ ki nwasu ihinrere fun nyin li akọṣe.

13 Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you at the first.

14 Eyiti o si jẹ idanwo fun nyin li ara mi li ẹ kò kẹgàn, bẹni ẹ kò si kọ̀; ṣugbọn ẹnyin gbà mi bi angẹli Ọlọrun, ani bi Kristi Jesu.

14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.

15 Njẹ ayọ nyin igbana ha da? nitori mo gbà ẹ̀ri nyin jẹ pe, iba ṣe iṣe, ẹ ba yọ oju nyin jade, ẹ ba si fi wọn fun mi.

15 Where is then the blessedness ye spake of? for I bear you record, that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.

16 Njẹ mo ha di ọta nyin nitori mo sọ otitọ fun nyin bi?

16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

17 Nwọn nfi itara wá nyin, ṣugbọn ki iṣe fun rere; nwọn nfẹ já nyin kuro, ki ẹnyin ki o le mã wá wọn.

17 They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

18 Ṣugbọn o dara lati mã fi itara wá ni fun rere nigbagbogbo, kì si iṣe nigbati mo wà pẹlu nyin nikan.

18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.

19 Ẹnyin ọmọ mi kekeke, ẹnyin ti mo tún nrọbi titi a o fi ṣe ẹda Kristi ninu nyin.

19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

20 Iba wù mi lati wà lọdọ nyin nisisiyi, ki emi ki o si yi ohùn mi pada nitoripe mo dãmu nitori nyin.

20 I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice; for I stand in doubt of you.

21 Ẹ wi fun mi, ẹnyin ti nfẹ wà labẹ ofin, ẹ kò ha gbọ́ ofin?

21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?

22 Nitori a ti kọ ọ pe, Abrahamu ni ọmọ ọkunrin meji, ọkan lati ọdọ ẹrú-binrin, ati ọkan lati ọdọ omnira-obinrin.

22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

23 Ṣugbọn a bí eyiti iṣe ti ẹrúbinrin nipa ti ara; ṣugbọn eyi ti omnira-obinrin li a bí nipa ileri.

23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

24 Nkan wọnyi jẹ apẹrẹ: nitoripe awọn obinrin wọnyi ni majẹmu mejeji; ọkan lati ori oke Sinai wá, ti a bí li oko-ẹrú, ti iṣe Hagari.

24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

25 Nitori Hagari yi ni òke Sinai Arabia, ti o si duro fun Jerusalemu ti o wà nisisiyi, ti o si wà li oko-ẹrú pẹlu awọn ọmọ rẹ̀.

25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

26 Ṣugbọn Jerusalemu ti oke jẹ omnira, eyiti iṣe iya wa.

26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

27 Nitori a ti kọ ọ pe, Mã yọ̀, iwọ àgan ti kò bímọ: bú si ayọ̀ ki o si kigbe soke, iwọ ti kò rọbi rí; nitori awọn ọmọ ẹni alahoro pọ̀ jù ti abilekọ lọ.

27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

28 Njẹ ará, ọmọ ileri li awa gẹgẹ bi Isaaki.

28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

29 Ṣugbọn bi eyiti a bí nipa ti ara ti ṣe inunibini nigbana si eyiti a bí nipa ti Ẹmi, bẹ̃ si ni nisisiyi.

29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

30 Ṣugbọn iwe-mimọ́ ha ti wi? Lé ẹrú-binrin na jade ati ọmọ rẹ̀: nitori ọmọ ẹrú-binrin kì yio ba ọmọ omnira-obinrin jogun pọ̀.

30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

31 Nitorina, ará, awa kì iṣe ọmọ ẹrú-binrin, bikoṣe ti omnira-obinrin.

31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
