Read Ephesians 4
1 NITORINA emi ondè ninu Oluwa, mbẹ̀ nyin pe, ki ẹnyin ki o mã rìn bi o ti yẹ fun ìpe na ti a fi pè nyin,
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 Pẹlu irẹlẹ gbogbo ati inu tutù, pẹlu ipamọra, ẹ mã fi ifẹ farada a fun ẹnikeji nyin;
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3 Ki ẹ si mã lakaka lati pa iṣọkan Ẹmí mọ́ ni ìdipọ alafia.
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 Ara kan ni mbẹ, ati Ẹmí kan, ani bi a ti pè nyin sinu ireti kan ti ipè nyin;
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 Oluwa kan, igbagbọ́ kan, baptismu kan,
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 Ọlọrun kan ati Baba gbogbo, ẹniti o wà lori gbogbo ati nipa gbogbo ati ninu nyin gbogbo.
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
7 Ṣugbọn olukuluku wa li a fi ore-ọfẹ fun gẹgẹ bi oṣuwọn ẹ̀bun Kristi.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 Nitorina o wipe, Nigbati o gòke lọ si ibi giga, o di igbekun ni igbekun, o si fi ẹ̀bun fun enia.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
9 (Njẹ niti pe o goke lọ, kili o jẹ, bikoṣepe o kọ́ sọkalẹ pẹlu lọ si iha isalẹ ilẹ?
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 Ẹniti o ti sọkalẹ, on kanna li o si ti goke rekọja gbogbo awọn ọrun, ki o le kún ohun gbogbo.)
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)
11 O si ti fi awọn kan funni bi aposteli; ati awọn miran bi woli; ati awọn miran bi efangelisti, ati awọn miran bi oluṣọ-agutan ati olukọni;
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 Fun aṣepé awọn enia mimọ́ fun iṣẹ-iranṣẹ, fun imudagba ara Kristi:
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Titi gbogbo wa yio fi de iṣọkan igbagbọ́ ati ìmọ Ọmọ Ọlọrun, titi a o fi di ọkunrin, titi a o fi de iwọn gigun ẹ̀kún Kristi:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 Ki awa ki o máṣe jẹ ewe mọ́, ti a nfi gbogbo afẹfẹ ẹ̀kọ́ tì siwa tì sẹhin, ti a si fi ngbá kiri, nipa itanjẹ enia, nipa arekereke fun ọgbọnkọgbọn ati múni ṣina;
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 Ṣugbọn ki a mã sọ otitọ ni ifẹ, ki a le mã dàgbasoke ninu rẹ̀ li ohun gbogbo, ẹniti iṣe ori, ani Kristi:
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
16 Lati ọdọ ẹniti ara na ti a nso ṣọkan pọ, ti o si nfi ara mọra, nipa gbogbo orike ipese, (gẹgẹ bi iṣẹ olukuluku ẹya-ara ni ìwọn tirẹ̀) o nmu ara na bi si i fun idagbasoke on tikararẹ ninu ifẹ.
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
17 Njẹ eyi ni mo nwi, ti mo si njẹri ninu Oluwa pe, lati isisiyi lọ ki ẹnyin ki o máṣe rìn mọ́, ani gẹgẹ bi awọn Keferi ti nrin ninu ironu asan wọn,
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Òye awọn ẹniti o ṣòkunkun, awọn ti o si ti di àjeji si ìwa-bi-Ọlọrun nitori aimọ̀ ti mbẹ ninu wọn, nitori lile ọkàn wọn:
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Awọn ẹniti ọkàn wọn le rekọja, ti nwọn si ti fi ara wọn fun wọ̀bia, lati mã fi iwọra ṣiṣẹ ìwa-ẽri gbogbo.
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20 Ṣugbọn a kò fi Kristi kọ́ nyin bẹ̃;
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 Bi o ba ṣe pe nitotọ li ẹ ti gbohùn rẹ̀, ti a si ti kọ́ nyin ninu rẹ̀, gẹgẹ bi otitọ ti mbẹ ninu Jesu:
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22 Pe, niti iwa nyin atijọ, ki ẹnyin ki o bọ ogbologbo ọkunrin nì silẹ, eyiti o dibajẹ gẹgẹ bi ifẹkufẹ ẹ̀tan;
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23 Ki ẹ si di titun ni ẹmi inu nyin;
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24 Ki ẹ si gbé ọkunrin titun nì wọ̀, eyiti a da nipa ti Ọlọrun li ododo ati li iwa mimọ́ otitọ́.
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
25 Nitorina ẹ fi eke ṣiṣe silẹ, ki olukuluku nyin ki o mã ba ọmọnikeji rẹ̀ sọ otitọ, nitori ẹ̀ya-ara ọmọnikeji wa li awa iṣe.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
26 Ẹ binu; ẹ má si ṣe ṣẹ̀: ẹ máṣe jẹ ki õrùn wọ̀ bá ibinu nyin:
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Bẹni ki ẹ má ṣe fi àye fun Èṣu.
27 Neither give place to the devil.
28 Ki ẹniti njale máṣe jale mọ́: ṣugbọn ki o kuku mã ṣe lãlã, ki o mã fi ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ṣiṣẹ ohun ti o dara, ki on ki o le ni lati pín fun ẹniti o ṣe alaini.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
29 Ẹ máṣe jẹ ki ọ̀rọ idibajẹ kan ti ẹnu nyin jade, ṣugbọn iru eyiti o dara fun ẹ̀kọ́, ki o le mã fi ore-ọfẹ fun awọn ti ngbọ́.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
30 Ẹ má si ṣe mu Ẹmí Mimọ́ Ọlọrun binu, ẹniti a fi ṣe èdidi nyin dè ọjọ idande.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Gbogbo ìwa kikorò, ati ibinu, ati irunu, ati ariwo, ati ọ̀rọ buburu ni ki a mu kuro lọdọ nyin, pẹlu gbogbo arankàn:
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 Ẹ mã ṣore fun ọmọnikeji nyin, ẹ ni iyọ́nu, ẹ mã darijì ara nyin, gẹgẹ bi Ọlọrun ninu Kristi ti darijì nyin.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
