1 ẸNYIN li a si ti sọ di àye, nigbati ẹnyin ti kú nitori irekọja ati ẹ̀ṣẹ nyin,

1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

2 Ninu eyiti ẹnyin ti nrin rí gẹgẹ bi ipa ti aiye yi, gẹgẹ bi alaṣẹ agbara oju ọrun, ẹmí ti nṣiṣẹ nisisiyi ninu awọn ọmọ alaigbọran:

2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Ninu awọn ẹniti gbogbo wa pẹlu ti wà rí ninu ifẹkufẹ ara wa, a nmu ifẹ ara ati ti inu ṣẹ; ati nipa ẹda awa si ti jẹ ọmọ ibinu, gẹgẹ bi awọn iyoku pẹlu.

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

4 Ṣugbọn Ọlọrun, ẹniti iṣe ọlọrọ̀ li ãnu, nitori ifẹ nla rẹ̀ ti o fi fẹ wa,

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

5 Nigbati awa tilẹ ti kú nitori irekọja wa, o sọ wa di ãye pẹlu Kristi (ore-ọfẹ li a ti fi gba nyin là).

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

6 O si ti ji wa dide pẹlu rẹ̀, o si ti mu wa wa joko pẹlu rẹ̀ ninu awọn ọrun ninu Kristi Jesu:

6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

7 Pe ni gbogbo ìgba ti mbọ ki o ba le fi ọrọ̀ ore-ọfẹ rẹ̀ ti o pọ rekọja han ninu iṣeun rẹ̀ si wa ninu Kristi Jesu.

7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 Nitori ore-ọfẹ li a ti fi gbà nyin là nipa igbagbọ́; ati eyini kì iṣe ti ẹnyin tikaranyin: ẹ̀bun Ọlọrun ni:

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Kì iṣe nipa iṣẹ, ki ẹnikẹni má bã ṣogo.

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

10 Nitori awa ni iṣẹ ọwọ́ rẹ̀ ti a ti dá ninu Kristi Jesu fun iṣẹ rere, ti Ọlọrun ti pèse tẹlẹ, ki awa ki o le mã rìn ninu wọn.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

11 Nitorina ẹ ranti pe, nigba atijọ ri, ẹnyin ti ẹ ti jẹ Keferi nipa ti ara, ti awọn ti a npè ni Akọla ti a fi ọwọ ṣe li ara npè li Alaikọla,

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 Pe li akokò na ẹnyin wà laini Kristi, ẹ jẹ ajeji si anfani awọn ọlọtọ Israeli, ati alejo si awọn majẹmu ileri nì, laini ireti, ati laini Ọlọrun li aiye:

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 Ṣugbọn nisisiyi ninu Kristi Jesu ẹnyin ti o ti jìna réré nigba atijọ rí li a mu sunmọ tosi, nipa ẹ̀jẹ Kristi.

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

14 Nitori on ni alafia wa, ẹniti o ti ṣe mejeji li ọ̀kan, ti o si ti wó ogiri ìkélé nì ti mbẹ lãrin;

14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 O si ti fi opin si ọta nì ninu ara rẹ̀, ani si ofin aṣẹ wọnni ti mbẹ ninu ilana; ki o le fi awọn mejeji dá ẹni titun kan ninu ara rẹ̀, ki o si ṣe ilaja,

15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

16 Ati ki o le mu awọn mejeji ba Ọlọrun làja ninu ara kan nipa agbelebu; o si ti pa iṣọta na kú nipa rẹ̀:

16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17 O si ti wá, o si ti wasu alafia fun ẹnyin ti o jìna réré, ati fun awọn ti o sunmọ tosi:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 Nitori nipa rẹ̀ li awa mejeji ti ni ọ̀na nipa Ẹmí kan sọdọ Baba.

18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

19 Njẹ nitorina ẹnyin kì iṣe alejò ati atipo mọ́, ṣugbọn àjumọ jẹ ọlọ̀tọ pẹlu awọn enia mimọ́, ati awọn ará ile Ọlọrun;

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;

20 A si ngbé nyin ró lori ipilẹ awọn aposteli, ati awọn woli, Jesu Kristi tikararẹ̀ jẹ pàtaki okuta igun ile;

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21 Ninu ẹniti gbogbo ile na, ti a nkọ ṣọkan pọ, ndagbà soke ni tẹmpili mimọ́ ninu Oluwa:

21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22 Ninu ẹniti a ngbé nyin ró pọ pẹlu fun ibujoko Ọlọrun ninu Ẹmí.

22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
