From September 2 to 5, REBIRTH 2026 brought children from different communities together for four days of Bible teaching, worship, creative activities, and play. Under the theme Sons of God, almost 700 children and nearly 50 volunteers took part, according to the mission team's closing update.
The Bible school had last been held in 2022. Its return was an occasion for gratitude: for the children who came, the volunteers who served, and the people whose prayers and support helped the gathering take place.
Learning, creating, and spending time together
The photographs tell the story through everyday moments. Children sit together for teaching, lean over shared worksheets, and help one another with paper crafts. Some proudly hold up handmade cards bearing the words, "I am God's child." There are moments of worship and quiet attention, alongside smiles, conversation, and friendship.

Creative work gave the children something to make and share. Around classroom tables, they measured, cut, folded, and worked alongside one another. These small scenes are part of what made the gathering personal: time to learn, take part, and be together.

Outside, the programme made room for games. Tyre activities and group challenges brought a different kind of energy to the days. The photographs capture children joining in, concentrating on a task, and enjoying time with others.

Grateful for the people who made it possible
Nearly 50 volunteers helped welcome and serve the children. In the closing message, the mission team gave thanks to God and spoke with gratitude about the sacrifices people had made for the programme.
We join them in thanking everyone who prayed, gave, prepared, taught, and helped. The team has more stories to share from these days, and we look forward to passing on those accounts as they become available.
The work continues beyond the gathering
The school updates shared with DaBible also brought encouraging news: classroom flooring had been completed inside and outside. As the new school year approached, the team was preparing to talk with families about older pupils beginning Junior Secondary School 1 (JSS 1).
Affordable boarding-school options had been visited, and a mission school in Osun State was among the possibilities being considered. These are next steps still being planned with families, and we will share confirmed developments when they are available.
Please keep the children, their families, and those teaching and caring for them in your prayers. Thank you for taking an interest in their learning and in the patient work that continues between special gatherings.
