Ọkunrin yi, Koniah, ohun-èlo ẹlẹgan, fifọ ha ni bi? o ha dabi ohun-èlo ti kò ni ẹwà lara? ẽṣe ti a tì wọn jade, on, ati iru-ọmọ rẹ̀, ti a si le wọn jade si ilẹ ti nwọn kò mọ̀?

Is this man Coniah a despised broken idol? is he a vessel wherein is no pleasure? wherefore are they cast out, he and his seed, and are cast into a land which they know not?
