Nigbana ni Danieli, ẹniti a npè ni Belteṣassari wà ni ìwariri niwọn wakati kan, ìro-inu rẹ̀ si dãmu rẹ̀. Ọba si dahùn wipe, Belteṣassari, máṣe jẹ ki alá na, tabi itumọ rẹ̀ ki o dãmu rẹ̀. Belteṣassari si dahùn wipe, oluwa mi! ti awọn ẹniti o korira rẹ li alá yi, ki itumọ rẹ̀ ki o si jẹ ti awọn ọta rẹ.

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
