Zechariah 2

¹ For another vision I see a man with measuring line for him hand.

² I ask am say, where you dey go? He tell me say, “I won go measure Jerusalem, to see how long and wide e be.”

³ Then I see the angel wey don follow me talk come forward, and another angel come meet him.

⁴ The first one tell the other say, “Run go tell that young man wey dey hold measuring line say, there go be plenty people and livestock for Jerusalem so tey e go dey too big to get walls.

⁵ God don promise say, him go be wall of fire round the city to protect am and him go live there with all him glory.”

⁷ God tell him people say, “I scatter una for all directions. And now una wey dey strange land, escape from Babylonia and return go Jerusalem.

⁸ Anyone wey attack una don attack wetin dey important to me.” Naso Almighty God send me make I give this message to the nations wey don rob him people:

⁹ God himself go fight against una, and people wey be una servants before go rob una.” When this happen, everybody go know say na Almighty God send me.

¹⁰ God talk say, “Make una sing for joy, people of Jerusalem! I dey come live among una!”

¹¹ And that time many nations go come to God to become him people. He go live among una, and una go know say he send me to una.

¹² Once again Judah go be the special possession of God for him holy land, and Jerusalem go be the city wey he love pass.

¹³ Make everybody dey silent, for presence of God, because him dey come from him holy dwelling place.
