Psalms 91

¹ Anybody wey go meet God for safety, anybody wey remain under protection of the Almighty,

² fit tell him say, “You be my defender and protector. You be my God; na you I trust.”

³ Him go keep you safe from danger wey you no fit see and from diseases wey dey kill.

⁴ Him go cover you with him wing; you go dey safe for him care; him faithfulness go protect and defend you.

⁵ You no need to fear any danger for night or sudden attack for day

⁶ or disease wey dey strike for dark or evil wey dey kill for day time.

⁷ One thousand fit fall and die beside you, or ten thousand dey around you, but nothing go harm you!

⁸ You go look and see how the wicked go get punished.

⁹ You don make the LORD your defender, and make the Most High your protector,

¹⁰ and so no disaster go strike you, no violence go come near your house.

¹¹ God go put him angel in charge of you to protect you anywhere you go.

¹² Dem go hold you up with their hand to keep you make you no nack your feet for stone.

¹³ You go match on top lion and snake, terrible lion and poisonous snake.

¹⁴ God talk say, “I go save those wey love me and I go protect those wey dey accept me as LORD.

¹⁵ When dem call me, I go answer them. When dem dey for trouble, I go dey with them. I go save them and honor them.

¹⁶ I go give them long life; I go save them.”
