Psalms 88

LORD God, my savior, I dey cry out all day, and for night I dey come before you.

Hear my prayer; hear my cry for help!

So many trouble don fall on me wey be say I don dey close to death.

I be like other people wey dey close to die; all my strength don go.

You don abandon me among the dead; I be like dead body wey dey lie for grave, those wey you don forget completely, wey don cut off from your help.

You don throw me for depth of the tomb, inside dark and deep pit.

Your anger be like heavy weight on top me, and I dey crushed under hin wave.

You don make my friends abandon me; you don make me dey awful to them. Dem don lock me up and I no fit escape;

My eye dey weak as I dey suffer. LORD, every day I dey call you and I dey lift my hand to pray to you.

Shey you dey perform miracle for the dead? Shey dem dey stand up praise you?

Dem dey speak about your love for grave or your faithfulness for where destruction dey happen?

Shey na for place of darkness dem dey see your miracle or your goodness for land wey dem don forget?

LORD, I dey call you for help; every morning I dey pray to you.

Why you dey reject me, LORD? Why you dey turn away from me?

Ever since I dey young, I don suffer and death dey near me; I don tire for this load of your punishment.

You anger dey crush me, your terrible attack don destroy me.

Dem dey surround me like flood all day long; dem close up on me from every angle.

You don make my friend wey dey close to me abandon me, and darkness na my only friend.
