Psalms 81

¹ Make una shout for joy to God wey be our defender; sing praise give God of Jacob;

² Start the music and make una beat the tambourine; play better music with harp and lyres.

³ Make una blow trumpet for the festival, when the moon dey new and when the moon full.

⁴ This na the law for Israel, order wey God of Jacob give.

⁵ He give am to the people of Israel when him attack the land of Egypt. I dey hear voice wey I no know,

⁶ “I carry the trouble commot for your back; I allow you put the load wey be brick down.

⁷ When you dey for trouble, you been call me, and I save you. For where I dey hide when storm dey, I dey answer you. I put you for test at the spring of Meribah.

⁸ Make una hear my warning, my people; Israel, how I con wish say una go hear me.

⁹ Make una no worship another god.

¹⁰ I be the LORD una God, who bring una out of Egypt. Open your mouth, and I go feed you.

¹¹ But my people no go hear me; Israel no go obey me.

¹² So I allow make dem dey do their strong-head and I dey do anything wey dem want.

¹³ I wish say my people fit listen to me; I wish say dem go obey me;

¹⁴ I go defeat their enemy quickly and defeat all of their enemy.

¹⁵ Those wey hate me go bow in fear before me; their punishment go last forever.

¹⁶ But I go feed una with wheat wey fine pass and I go make una belleful with pure honey.”
