Psalms 80

¹ Hear us, O Shepherd of Israel; make you hear us, leader of your flock. You sit for your throne above creatures wey get wing,

² Make you show yourself to tribe of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Show us your strength; come save us

³ O God, make you bring us back! Show us your mercy and we go dey safe.

⁴ How long e go be, LORD God Almighty, shey you go dey vex with your people prayer?

⁵ You don give us sorrow make we chop, with cup of cry to drink.

⁶ You allow nation wey dey around us dey fight on top our land; our enemy dey insult us.

⁷ Make you bring us back, Almighty God; show us mercy and we go dey safe!

⁸ You bring grapevine out of Egypt; you con drive other nation out and you plant am for the land.

⁹ You clear place for am to grow; the root go down deep, and e spread out on top the whole land.

¹⁰ E cover the hill with shade; the branch cover the giant cedars.

¹¹ The branch reach the Mediterranean Sea and reach Euphrates River too.

¹² Why you break the fence wey dey round am? Now anybody wey dey pass fit steal the grape;

¹³ Wild pig dey match am down, and wild animal dey chop am.

¹⁴ Make you turn to us, Almighty God; look down on us from heaven; come save your people

¹⁵ Come save the grapevine wey you plant, na you make the young vine grow strong.

¹⁶ Our enemy don put fire on top am and dem cut am down; look at them in anger and destroy them.

¹⁷ Keep and protect the people wey you don choose, the nation wey you make strong.

¹⁸ We no go ever turn away from you again; make you keep us alive and we go praise you.
