Psalms 71
1 LORD, I don come meet you for protection; no allow them defeat me!
2 Because you dey righteous, help me and save me. Hear me and save me!
3 Be my shelter to save me and strong tower to protect me; you be my refuge and defense.
4 My God, come save me from wicked people, from power of wicked and evil people.
5 Almighty God, I dey put my hope in you, I don trust you since I dey young.
6 I don rely on you all my life; you don protect me since when dem born me. I go dey praise you always.
7 My life na example to many people, because na you don be my strong defender.
8 Every day I dey praise you and I dey talk about your glory.
9 No reject me now wey I don old; make you no abandon me now wey I don weak.
10 My enemy wan kill me; dem dey talk and plan against me.
11 Dem talk say, God don abandon am; make we attack am and catch am; no one dey wey go save me.
12 O God, no dey far from me; my God, hurry come help me
13 Defeat and destroy those wey dey attack me. Put shame and disgrace on top those wey wan wound me.
14 I go dey put my hope in you always; I go praise you more and more.
15 I go talk of your goodness; all day long I go speak about your salvation, though e pass wetin I fit understand.
16 I go waka go in the strength of the LORD God; I go talk about your goodness, your own alone.
17 You don teach me ever since I dey young, and I till dey talk of your wonderful work.
18 Now wey I don old and my hair don turn grey, make you no abandon me, O God; dey with me as I dey talk about your power to all generation wey dey come.
19 God, your righteousness dey reach sky. You don do great things; nobody be like you.
20 You don send trouble and suffer on me, but you go restore my strength; you go keep me from the grave.
21 You go make me great pass before; you go comfort me again.
22 I go praise you with harp for sure; I go praise your faithfulness, my God. With my harp I go play hymn to you, the Holy one of Israel.
23 I go shout for joy as I dey play to you; with my whole body I go sing because you don save me.
24 I go speak of your righteousness all day, because those wey wan harm me don dey defeated and disgraced.
