O LORD, My God, I come to you make you protect me; rescue me and save me from all wey dey pursue me,

or else dem go carry me away like lion, wey nobody fit save, and for there dem go tear me to pieces.

O LORD, my God, if I don do bad to anybody,

if I don betray any friend or cause trouble to my enemy – if I don do anything like this –

then make my enemy pursue me and catch me, make dem cut me down and kill me and make dem leave me dead for ground.

O LORD, make you use vex rise! Stand up against the anger of my enemies; rise by yourself make u help me! Na justice be wetin you dey ask for,

So, make you bring all the people together round you, and rule on top them from above.

Na you be the judge of human being. Judge in my favor, O LORD; you know say I dey innocent.

Na you be righteous God wey dey judge wetin we think and want. Make you stop the wickedness of the evil people and reward those wey dey good.

God na my protector; he dey save those wey obey him.

God na righteous judge and him dey always condemn the wicked.

If dem no change for their ways, God go sharpen him sword. Him go bend him bow and make am ready;

he go carry him dangerous weapon and point him arrow wey get fire.

See how wicked people dey think of evil; dem dey plan trouble and cunning things.

But for the trap wey dem set for others, the trap go catch them.

Na their evil go punish them and dem go get wound by their own violence.

I thank God for him justice, I sing praise to the LORD, Most High.
