Psalms 60

¹ God, you don reject us and defeat us; you don dey vex for us - but now turn back to us.

² You don shake the land, and you don cut am open; now heal hin wound, because e dey fall apart.

³ You don allow your people suffer greatly; we dey stagger like say we dey drunk.

⁴ You don warn those wey dey appreciate you, so that dem go fit escape destruction.

⁵ Make you save us by your power, and make you answer our prayer, so that people wey you love go dey safe.

⁶ God talk from him sanctuary say, “With victory I go divide Shechem and share Sukkoth Valley to my people.

⁷ Gilead na my own, and Manasseh too; Ephraim na my helmet and Judah na my royal staff.

⁸ But I go use Moab as my washbowl, and I go throw my sandal on top Edom, as sign say na me get am. Philistine, shey una think say una fit shout for victory over me?”

⁹ O God, who go carry me enter the strong city? Who go lead me enter Edom?

¹⁰ Shey you don really reject us? Shey you no go march with our army?

¹¹ Help us against the enemy; human help no dey useful.

¹² With God for our side we go win; him go defeat our enemy.
