Psalms 56

¹ O God, dey merciful to me because I dey under attack; my enemy dey oppress me every time.

² My enemy dey attack me throughout the day. Dem plenty wey dey fight against me.

³ When I dey fear, O LORD Almighty, I dey put my trust in you.

⁴ I dey trust God and I no dey fear; I dey praise him for wetin him don promise. Wetin ordinary human being fit do to me?

⁵ My enemy dey cause trouble for me all day; dem dey always plan how dem go hurt me.

⁶ Dem dey gather hide and watch everything wey I dey do, dem dey wait to kill me.

⁷ O God, make you punish them for their evil; use your vex take defeat them!

⁸ You know how I dey worry; you dey keep record on how I dey cry. Shey dem no dey the list for your book?

⁹ The day wey I call you, my enemy go turn back. I know for sure say God dey for my side -

¹⁰ the LORD, wey be say na him promise I dey praise.

¹¹ Na him I trust, and I no go fear. Wetin ordinary person fit do to me?

¹² O God, I go offer you wetin I don promise; I go give you my offering of thanksgiving,

¹³ Because you don save me from death and you no allow them defeat me. So I go waka for presence of God, inside the light wey dey shine on top the living.
