Psalms 50

¹ The Almighty God, the LORD, talk say; him dey call all the earth from east to west.

² God dey shine from Zion, the city wey dey perfect in beauty.

³ Our God dey come, but no be for silence; angry fire dey for him front, and terrible storm dey around him.

⁴ Him call heaven and earth make dem be witness to see as he judge him people.

⁵ Him talk say, “Make una gather my faithful people to him, those wey make covenant with me by offering sacrifice.”

⁶ The heaven dey talk say God dey righteous, say he be judge by himself.

⁷ “Make una hear, my people, and I go talk; I go testify against you, Israel. I be the LORD, your God.

⁸ I no dey rebuke una because of una sacrifice and burnt offering wey una dey always bring to me.

⁹ And still I no want bull from una farm or goat from una flock;

¹⁰ all the animal wey dey forest na my own and the cattle wey dey for thousand hills.

¹¹ All the wild bird na my own and all living things for field.

¹² “If I been dey hungry, I no go ask una for food, because the world and everything wey dey inside na my own.

¹³ Shey I dey eat flesh of bull or drink the blood of goat?

¹⁴ Make una thanksgiving be sacrifice to God, and give Almighty everything wey you promise.

¹⁵ Call me wen trouble show; I go save you, and you go praise me.”

¹⁶ But talk to the wicked say, “Why you go dey recite my commandment? Why you go talk about my covenant?

¹⁷ You no wan make I correct you; you dey reject my command.

¹⁸ You con become friend of every thief wey you see, and u dey around adulterers.

¹⁹ “You dey always dey ready to speak evil; you no dey even try stop to dey talk lie.

²⁰ You dey ready to blame your own family and to dey find fault with them.

²¹ You don do all this, and I never talk anything, so you think say I be like you. But now I rebuke you and make the matter dey plain to you.

²² “Make you hear this, you wey ignore me, or I go destroy you, and nobody go dey to save you.

²³ Thanksgiving na the sacrifice wey dey honor me, and I go surely save all those wey obey me.”
