Psalms 31
1 Na for protection I dey come to you LORD; no allow them defeat me. You be righteous God; I pray say make you save me!
2 Hear me; make you save me now; make you be my refuge for protection, and my defense to save me.
3 You be my refuge and defense; guide me and lead me as you don promise.
4 Make you save me from trap wey dem don set for me; protect me from danger.
5 I put myself for your care. You go save me, LORD; you be faithful God.
6 You hate those wey they worship false god, but I dey trust in you.
7 I go dey glad and happy because you dey always love. You see as I dey suffer; you know my trouble.
8 You no allow my enemy catch me; you don give me freedom make I dey do anything wey I want.
9 Make you get mercy on me, LORD; because I dey for trouble; my eye don tire to dey cry; I don worn out completely.
10 Sorrow don make me tire, and as I dey cry e dey make my life short. My troubles don make me weak; even my bone dey waste away.
11 All my enemy, and even my neighbor dey treat me bad. Those wey know me dey fear me; when dem see me for street dem dey run.
12 Everyone don forget me like say I don die; I be like something wey dem throway.
13 I dey hear plenty enemy dey whisper; terror dey around me. Dem dey make plan against me, dem dey plot to kill me.
14 But my trust dey in you, O LORD, you be my God.
15 Na for your care I dey always; save me from my enemy, from those wey dey oppress me.
16 Make you look on top your servant in kindness; make you save me with your constant love.
17 LORD, I dey call you; no allow me enter shame. Make you disgrace the wicked; make dem go quiet down to where dead people dey.
18 Make you silent the liars - all wey get strong-head and wey dey proud and wey dey talk bad thing about the righteous.
19 The good things wey you keep for those wey dey honor you na wonderful things. Everybody know how good you be, how you dey protect those wey trust you.
20 You dey hide them in safety for your presence from plans of others; for place wey dey safe na hin you dey hide them from insults of the enemy.
21 Praise the LORD; So wonderful as he dey show him love to me when dem surround and attack me.
22 I been dey fear and think say him don pursue me commot from him presence. But him hear as I cry, when I call him for help.
23 All him faithful people make una love the LORD. The LORD they protect those wey dey faithful but punish those wey dey proud as dem suppose get.
24 All of una wey get hope in the LORD, make una dey strong and get courage.
