Psalms 137

¹ Na by the river of Babylon we siddon; na there we cry when we remember Zion.

² Na on top willow wey dey near we hang our harp.

³ Those wey catch us tell us say make we sing; dem tell us say make we entertain them: “Make una sing a song to us about Zion.”

⁴ How we fit sing song to the LORD for foreign land?

⁵ Make I no fit play the harp again if I forget you, Jerusalem!

⁶ Make I no fit sing again if I no remember you, if I no think of you as my joy wey great pass!

⁷ LORD, remember wetin the Edomites do the day dem catch Jerusalem. Remember as dem dey talk say, “Tear am down to ground!”

⁸ Babylon, you go perish. Those people wey go pay una back for wetin una don do us go dey happy -

⁹ those wey go carry una small pikin and use them strike rock.
