1 Those wey love knowledge wan make dem tell them when dem do wrong. Na stupid thing to hate correction.
2 God dey happy with good people, but he dey condemn those wey plan evil.
3 Wickedness no dey give security, but righteous people dey stand firm.
4 Na pride and joy good wife be to him husband; but wife wey bring shame on top her husband be like cancer for him bones.
5 Honest people go treat you well; the wicked only wan deceive you.
6 The words of the wicked dey kill, but the words of the righteous dey rescue those wey dey for danger.
7 The wicked dey meet their downfall and nobody dey remember them after dem don die, but dem continue to dey remember good people long after dem don die.
8 People go praise you, if you dey intelligent; nobody go respect you, if you no get sense.
9 E better make you be ordinary person wey get servant pass make you pretend to be important person wey no get food to chop.
10 Good people dey take care of their animals, but wicked people dey do bad thing to their own.
11 Farmer wey dey work hard get plenty to chop, but na stupid thing to waste time on top useless projects.
12 Everything wey evil people want na to find evil thing wey dem go do, but the righteous dey stand firm.
13 Na the words of the wicked dey trap them, but honest people dey escape that kind trouble.
14 Your rewards depend on wetin you talk and work you do; na wetin you deserve you go get.
15 Stupid people dey always think say na their idea make sense pass, but wise people dey listen to advice wey others tell them.
16 Stupid person dey vex quick, but person wey get sense no get time for insults.
17 Good people dey talk truth and dem fit trust them for court, but liars dey do bad witness.
18 To speak without thinking fit cut deep like knife, but wise words wey you talk fit heal.
19 Na short life lie get, but truth dey live on forever.
20 Those wey plan evil dey cause trouble, but those wey work for peace dey bring happiness.
21 God go keep good people safe, but evil people go get plenty trouble.
22 God hate person wey dey tell lies, but he dey happy with people wey dey tell the truth.
23 Person wey get sense dey keep quiet about wetin dem know, but stupid people dey make noise about everything to show say dem be fools.
24 Hard work go make you dey in-charge; to dey lazy go make you slave.
25 Worry dey take away happiness, but kind words go make you happy.
26 Righteous person na guide to him friend, but the way of the wicked dey make them lost.
27 If you dey lazy, you no go ever get wetin you want, but if you dey work hard, you go become rich.
28 Righteousness na the road to life; wickedness na the road to death.
