Proverbs 10
1 Na proverbs of Solomon be these: wise pikin dey make him father happy; but a foolish pikin dey bring pain to him mother.
2 Wealth wey una get for the way wey no pure no go do una any good, but righteousness fit save una from death.
3 God no go allow good people go hungry, but he no go allow wicked people get wetin dem want.
4 To dey lazy go make una poor, but hard work go make una rich.
5 Sensible person dey gather the crop when dem don ready; na shame to dey sleep through the time of harvest.
6 Good people go receive blessings. The words of the wicked dey cause trouble.
7 Dem go dey remember good people as a blessing, but dem go soon forget the wicked.
8 People wey get sense dey accept good advice. People wey dey talk rubbish for mouth go perish.
9 Honest people dey safe and secure, but dem go catch people wey no dey honest.
10 Person wey no dey say truth dey cause trouble, but person wey dey condemn for public dey work for peace.
11 Words of good person na fountain of life, but words of wicked dey hide their violent plans.
12 Hatred dey cause arguments, but love dey overlook all offences.
13 Intelligent people dey talk sense, but stupid people suppose get punishment before dem learn their lesson.
14 The wise dey get all the knowledge wey dem fit get, but when fools dey talk, trouble no far.
15 Wealth dey protect the rich; poverty dey destroy the poor.
16 Na life be the reward for good life, but sin dey only lead to more sin.
17 People wey listen when dem dey correct them go live, but those wey no gree say dem dey do wrong dey for danger.
18 Anyone wey hide hatred na liar. Anyone wey spread hatred na fool.
19 The more una talk, na the more una go dey sin. If una wise, una go keep quiet.
20 Words of good person be like pure silver, wicked person idea na rubbish.
21 Words of good person go benefit plenty people, but una fit kill unaself with stupidity.
22 Na blessing of God dey make person rich. Hard work no fit make una rich.
23 Na foolish thing e be to enjoy dey do wrong. Intelligent people dey enjoy wisdom.
24 The righteous dey get wetin dem want, but the wicked go get wetin dem fear pass.
25 Storm dey come, and e dey blow wicked away, but honest people dey always dey safe.
26 Make una no get lazy person to do something for una; he go irritate like vinegar for una teeth or he go be like smoke for una eyes.
27 Make una obey God, and una go live long. The wicked dey die before their time.
28 The hope of good people dey lead to joy, but wicked people no fit hope for anything.
29 God dey protect honest people, but he dey destroy those wey dey do wrong.
30 Righteous people go always get security, but the wicked no go survive for the land.
31 Righteous people dey speak wisdom, but God go stop the tongue wey speak evil.
32 Righteous people know the kind thing to dey talk, but the wicked dey always say things wey dey hurt.
