Micah 1

¹ During the time wey Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiel be king for Judah, God give Micah wey come from the town of Moresheth this message. God show Micah these things about Samaria and Jerusalem.

⁵ All this go happen because people of Israel don sin and turn away from God. Who we go blame for Israel sin? Na Samaria wey be capital city! Wey dey guilty say dem dey worship idol for Judah? Na Jerusalem Itself!

⁶ Naso God say, “I go make Samaria perish for open country, a place where people go dey plant grapevines. I go pour down the stone wey remain for the city inside valley, na only the foundation go remain.

⁷ All her precious idols, I go break them to pieces, fire go destroy everything wey dem don give the temple prostitues, and all her statues go become empty heaps. Samaria get all these things for rituals, and now her enemy go carry dem commot for temple prostitutes for other place.”

⁸ Then Micah talk say,” Because of this I go mourn and cry. I go waka naked and I no go wear shoe to show say I no dey happy. I go cry like vox and I go weep like ostrich.
