Leviticus 8

¹ God tell Moses say,

² “Take Aaron and him sons to entrance of the Tabernacle Tent and bring priest garments, anointing oil, the young bull for sin offering, two rams, and basket of unleavened bread.

³ Then gather the community together.”

⁴ Moses do as God don command , and when the community don gather,

⁵ he tell them say, “Wetin I wan do now na wetin God don command.”

⁶ Moses bring Aaron and him sons come front and tell them make dem take ritual bath.

⁷ He put the shirt and robe on Aaron and the sash round him waist. He put the ephod on him and tighten am with the woven belt round him waist.

⁸ He put the breastpiece on him and put Urim and Thummim inside am.

⁹ He put turban for him head, and for front of am, he put the gold ornament, the holy sign dedication, just as God don command him.

¹⁰ Moses come take the anointing oil and put am on Tabernacle Tent and everything wey dey inside am, and for this way he don dedicate am to God.

¹¹ He take some of the oil and sprinkle am seven times on the altar and equipment and on basin and stand, so that he fit dedicate am to God.

¹² He ordain Aaron as he pour anointing oil on top him head.

¹³ Moses come bring Aaron sons come front and put shirts on them, put sashes round their waist, and tie cap for their head, just as God don command.

¹⁴ Moses come bring the bull for sin offering, and Aaron and him sons put their hands on the bull head.

¹⁵ Moses kill am and take some of the blood, and he use him finger put am on projection for corner of the altar, so that he go dedicate am. He come pour out the remaining blood for base of the altar. For this way he don dedicate and purify am.

¹⁶ Moses take all fat on internal organs, best part of the liver, and the kidneys with fat on them, and burn am on top altar.

¹⁷ He take the rest of the bull, with the skin, flesh, and intestines, and burn am for outside camp, just as God don command.

¹⁸ Next, Moses bring the ram for burnt offering, and Aaron and him son put their hand on the ram head.

¹⁹ Moses kill am and throw the blood for four sides of the altar.

²¹ He cut the ram to pieces, wash the internal organs and back legs with water, and burn the head, the fat, and all rest of the ram on top altar, just as God don command. This burnt offering na food offering, and the smell dey please God.

²² Moses come bring the second ram wey be for priest ordination, and Aaron and him son put their hand on the ram head.

²³ Moses kill am and take some of the blood and put am for lobe of Aaron right ear, for thumb of him right-hand, and for big toe of him right foot.

²⁴ He come bring Aaron son come front and put some of the blood for lobe of their right ears, for thumb of their right-hand, and for the big toe of their right feet. Moses come throw the rest of the blood for four side of the altar.

²⁵ He take the fat, the fat tail, all fat wey cover the internal organs, the best part of the liver, the kidney with the fat on them, and the right back leg.

²⁶ He come take one bread from the basket of unleavened bread wey he don dedicate to God, one loaf wey dem make with oil, and one biscuit, and he put them on top the fat and the right back leg.

²⁷ He put all the food for hand of Aaron and him son, and dem present am as special gift to God.

²⁸ Moses come take the food from them and burn am on top altar, on top burnt offering, as ordination offering. Na food offering be this, and the smell dey please God.

²⁹ Moses come take the breast and present am to God as special gift. Na Moses share of the ordination ram. Moses do everything just as God don command.

³⁰ Moses take some of the anointing oil and some of the blood wey dey on the altar and sprinkle them on Aaron and him sons and for their clothes. For this way he don dedicate their cloth to God.

³¹ Moses tell Aaron and him son say, “Make una take the meat go entrance of the Tabernacle, boil am, and eat am for there with bread wey dey for basket of ordination offering, just as God don command.

³² Burn any meat or bread wey una eat remain.

³³ Una no go leave Tent entrance for seven days, until una ordination don complete.

³⁴ God command us make we do wetin we don do today, so that e go take una sin away.

³⁵ Una must stay for entrance of the Tent day and night for seven days, and una go dey do wetin God don command. If una no do am, una go die. Na wetin God command me be this.”

³⁶ Naso Aaron and him son do everything wey God don command through Moses.
