Leviticus 24

¹ God tell Moses

² make he give people of Israel the rules wey follow: Make una bring pure olive oil wey get quality pass for the lamps wey dey inside Tent, so that light go dey burn regularly.

³ Each evening, Aaron go dey light them and dey keep them to dey burn till morning, for God presence outside the curtain for front of the Covenant Box, wey dey for Most Holy Place. Make una dey keep this rule for all time to come.

⁴ Aaron go take care of the lamps wey dey for pure gold lampstand and make sure say dem dey burn regularly for God presence.

⁵ Make una take twelve kilograms of flour and use am bake twelve loaf of bread.

⁷ Put the loaf for two rows, six for each row, on top table wey dem cover with pure gold, wey dey for God presence.

⁷ Put some pure incense for each row, as token of food offering to God so that e go take place of the bread.

⁸ For every Sabbath, for all time to come, make una put the bread for God presence. Na Israel duty be this forever.

⁹ Na Aaron and him descendants get the bread, and dem go eat am for holy place, because na very holy part of food wey dem offer to God for the priests.

¹¹ E get a man wey him father be Egyptian and him mother na Israelite, her name na Shelomith, daughter of Dibri from tribe of Dan. For there in the camp the man quarrel with one Israelite. When dem dey quarrel he curse God, naso dem take him to Moses,

¹² dem guard him, and dem wait for God make he tell them wetin to do with him.

¹³ God tell Moses say,

¹⁴ “Take that man out of the camp. Everyone wey hear the man when he dey curse go put him hand on the man head to testify say the man dey guilty, and all the community go stone him to death.

¹⁵ Tell people of Israel say any person wey curse God must suffer the consequence

¹⁶ and make dem kill him. Any Israelite or any foreigner wey dey live for Israel wey curse God, make all the community stone am to death.

¹⁷ Anyone wey kill another person, make una kill am,

¹⁸ and anyone wey kill animal wey no be him own must replace am. Law of life na for life.

¹⁹ If anyone wound another person, make una do wetin him don do back to am.

²⁰ If na bone he break, make una break him own bone too; If he blind person for one eye, make una blind one of him eye too; if na teeth he remove, make una remove him teeth too. Any injury wey him don cause another person, make una do am back to him.

²¹ Any person wey kill animal go replace am, but make una kill any person wey kill human being.

²² This law na for all of una, Israelites and foreigners wey live among una, because I be the LORD una God.”

²³ When Moses don tell people of Israel this things, dem take the man outside the camp and stone am to death. Na for this way people of Israel do wetin God don command Moses.
