Leviticus 19

¹ God tell Moses

⁹ When una harvest una fields, make una no cut the corn wey dey for edges of the field, and make una no go back to cut the ears of the corn wey remain.

¹⁰ No go back through una vineyard to go gather grapes wey don miss or to go pick up grapes wey don fall down; leave them for poor people and foreigners. I be the LORD una God.

¹¹ Make una no thief, or cheat or lie.

¹² No make promise in my name if una no wan keep am; e dey bring disgrace on my name. I be the LORD una God.

¹³ No take advantage of anyone or rob am. No owe someone wey you don hire him wages, not even for one night.

¹⁴ No curse a deaf man, or put something for front of a blind man so that he go fall. Obey me; I be the LORD una God.

¹⁵ Be honest and just when you dey make decision for legal case; no show favor for the poor or fear the rich.

¹⁶ No spread lies about anyone, and when someone dey on trial for him life, speak out if your testimony fit help him. I be the LORD.

¹⁷ No get grudge against anyone, but settle your differences with him, so that you no go commit sin because of him.

¹⁸ No take revenge on anyone or continue to dey hate him, but love your neighbor as you love yourself. I be the LORD.

¹⁹ Obey my commands. No crossbreed animals. No plant two kind of seed for same feed. No wear cloth wey dem make with two kind of materials.

²⁰ If a slave woman na concubine of a man and dem never pay for her freedom, then if another man have sex with her, dem go receive punishment but not to die, since she be slave.

²¹ The man go bring ram come entrance of Tabernacle Tent for him repayment offering,

²³ When una enter land of Canaan and plant any kind fruit tree, the fruit no go dey clean for the first three years. During that time, make una no eat am.

²⁴ For fourth year, una go dedicate all the fruit to me as an offering to show una gratitude to me, the LORD.

²⁵ But for fifth year, una fit eat the fruit. If una do all this, una trees go bear more fruit. I be the LORD una God.

²⁶ No eat any meat wey still get blood inside. No do any kind of magic.

²⁷ No cut the hair for sides of una head or trim una beard

²⁸ or tattoo unasef or cut gashes for una body to mourn person wey don die. I be the LORD.

²⁹ Make una no disgrace una daughters by making them prostitutes; if una do, una go turn to other gods and the land go dey full of immorality.

³⁰ Dey keep Sabbath day, and honor the place wey una dey worship me. I be the LORD.

³¹ No go for advice from people wey dey consult spirits of the dead. If you do, you go dey unclean. I be the LORD una God.

³² Dey show respect for old people and honor them. Obey me; I be the LORD.

³³ No treat foreigners wey dey live for una land bad.

³⁴ Dey treat them the way you go treat your fellow Israelites, and love them like you love yourself. Remember say una don be foreigners for land of Egypt before.

³⁵ No cheat anyone by using false measure of length, weight, or quantity.

³⁶ Dey use honest scales, honest weight, and honest measures. I be the LORD una God., and I bring una out of Egypt.

³⁷ Obey all my laws and commands. I be the LORD.”
