Leviticus 10

¹ Each of Aaron son Nadab and Abihu take fire pan and put coal fire inside am, dem add incense, and present am to God. But the fire no dey holy, because God no command them say make dem present am.

² God send fire, and e burn them to death there for presence of God.

³ Moses come tell Aaron say, “Na wetin God dey talk about be this when he say, ‘Everybody wey serve me go dey respect my holiness; I go reveal my glory to my people.’” But Aaron no talk.

⁴ Moses call Mishael and Elzaphan, sons of Uzziel, Aaron uncle, and tell them say, “Make una come carry una cousin body commot for the holy Tent and put them for outside camp.”

⁵ Naso dem come carry the dead body outside camp, just as Moses don command.

⁶ Moses come tell Aaron and him sons Eleazar and Ithamar say, “Make una no scatter una hair or tear una cloth to show say una dey mourn. If una do so, una go die, and God go vex with the community. But una fellow Israelites fit mourn the death wey the fire wey God send cause.

⁷ make una no leave entrance of Tent or una go die, because na anointing oil of God I take dedicate una.” Naso dem do wetin Moses don talk.

⁸ God tell Aaron say,

⁹ “Make you and your sons no dey enter Tabernacle Tent after una don drink wine or beer; if una do am, una go die. Na law wey all of una descendants go dey keep be this.

¹⁰ Make una separate wetin be God own and wetin dey for general use, between wetin dey clean and the one wey no dey clean.

¹¹ make una dey teach people of Israel all the laws wey I don give to una through Moses.”

¹² Moses tell Aaron and him two sons, Eleazar and Ithamar say, “Take the grain offering wey remain from food wey una don offer to God, make unleavened bread with am and eat am for altar side, because the offering dey very holy.

¹⁴ But you and your family fit eat the breast and back leg wey dem present to God as special gift and special contribution to God for priests. Una fit eat am for any place wey dey clean for ritual. God don give you and your children as una share of Israelites fellowship offering.

¹⁵ Dem go bring the back leg and the fat when dem dey come present the fat as food offering to God. Na you and your children get these parts, just as God don command.”

¹⁶ Moses ask of the goat for sin offering, and find out say dem don already burn am. He come vex with Eleazar and Ithamar, and ask them say,

¹⁷ “Why una no eat the sin offering for holy place? E dey holy, and God don give am to una so that e go take away the community sin.

¹⁸ Since una no bring the blood enter holy Tent, una suppose don eat the sacrifice for there, as I don command.”

¹⁹ Aaron come answer say, “If I don eat the sin offering today, shey God go don approve am? The people present their sin offering to God today, and dem bring their burnt offering, but still this kind terrible thing don happen to me.”

²⁰ When Moses hear am, him mind settle.
