Joshua 18

¹ After dem don defeat the land, all the community of Israel gather for Shiloh and dem set up the Tent of God presence.

² E still get seven tribes of Israel people wey never get their share of the land.

³ Joshua con tell the people of Israel say, “How long una go wait before una go and take the land wey the LORD, God of una ancestors don give una?

⁴ Make una give me three men from each tribe. I go send them out to all the country to check out the country wey dem go like to have as their own. Dem go come back to me.

⁵ Na for seven parts we go share the land among them; Judah go stay for hin own territory for south, and Joseph go dey for north.

⁶ Make una draw the seven division on top map and bring am to me. I go draw lots to ask the LORD our God for una.

⁷ Levites no go get share of the land with the rest of una, because their share na to serve as God priests. And tribes of Gad, Reuben, and East Manasseh don already get the land for east of Jordan, wey God servant Moses give them.

⁸ The men go map out the land after Joshua don give them these instructions say: “Make una go check the land and map am, and come back to me. And for here in Shiloh I go draw lots to consult God for una.

⁹ Naso the men go and dem begin dey write down how dem go divide am to seven parts, dem make a list of the towns. Dem con go back to Joshua in the camp for Shiloh.

¹⁰ Joshua draw lots to ask God for them, and he give each of the tribes of Israel wey remain a certain part of the land.

¹¹ The territory wey belong to the families of Benjamin tribes na the first wey he give. Their land dey between tribe of Judah and Joseph.

¹² On the north their border start for Jordan and continue dey go up Jericho north and e go west through the hill country far reach desert of Bethaven.

¹³ The border con go to the slope for south side of Luz (dem dey also call am Bethel), and con go to Ataroth Addar, on top the mountain wey dey south of Lower Beth Horon.

¹⁴ The border continue for another direction, dey turn from the western side of this mountain and dey go to Kiriath Baal (or Kiriath Jearim), wey belong to Judah tribe. Na the western border be this.

¹⁵ The southern border start for edge of Kiriath Jearim and continue go the Springs of Nephtoah.

¹⁶ E continue dey go down to the foot of mountain wey person fit dey look Hinnom Valley, for north end of Rephaim Valley. E go south through Hinnom Valley, wey dey south of Jebusite city, toward Enrogel.

¹⁷ E con turn north to Enshemesh and continue to Geliloth, opposite Adummim Road. The border con go down to the Stone of Bohan (Bohan na son of Reuben).

¹⁸ E continue to the northern part of Beth Arabah. The border con go down to Jordan Valley.

¹⁹ E go to the northern part of Beth Hoglah and end for north shore of the Dead Sea. Na this be where Jordan River flow enter that sea. Na southern border be that.

²⁰ Na Jordan River be the eastern border. So na the land wey dem give Benjamin tribe be that. Na the borders for all sides be these.

²¹ Each family get their land. Na the cities be these: Jericho, Beth Hoglah, Emek Keziz,

²² Beth Arabah, Zemaraim, Bethel,

²³ Avvim, Parah, Ophrah,

²⁴ Kephar Ammoni, Ophni, and Geba. Na twelve cities and the fields wey dey round them.

²⁵ Benjamin also get Gibeon, Ramah, Beeroth,

²⁶ Mizpah, Kephirah, Mozah,

²⁷ Rekem, Irpeel, Taralah,

²⁸ Zelah, Haeleph, the Jebusite city (wey be Jerusalem), Gibeah, and Kiriath. Na 14 cities and the fields wey dey around them. Na Benjamin tribe get all these land as their own.
