Jonah 3

¹ Then God tell Jonah again.

² He talk say, “Go Nineveh, that great city, tell the people the message wey I don give you.”

³ Naso Jonah obey God and go Nineveh, city wey big, so tey person fit use three days waka through am.

⁴ Jonah start through the city and after he don waka one complete day, he talk say, “Nineveh go destroy in forty days!”

⁵ People of Nineveh believe God, so dem talk say make all of dem fast, all of dem from the big to small, dem wear sackcloth to show say dem don repent.

⁶ When king of Nineveh hear am, he comot for him throne, comot him robe, wear special cloth to show say him dey sorry and siddon for ashes.

⁷ The king write special message and send am to people of Nineveh: “This na order from the king and him officials: make anybody no chop anything; all peeople, cattle, and sheep no go chop or drink.

⁸ Make all people and animal wear special cloth, make everybody pray to God and stop him wicked behaviour and him evil actions.

⁹ And God go change him mind, and he go stop to dey vex, and we no go die!”

¹⁰ God see wetin dem do, He see say dem don stop their wicked behaviour. Na so He change him mind and he no punish dem as he don talk say he go do.
