Job 31
1 I don make honest promise say I no go ever look woman in the kind way wey go make me want her.
2 Wetin Almighty God do us? How him dey take repay wetin human dey do?
3 He dey send trouble to those wey dey do wrong.
4 God know everything wey I dey do; he dey see every step wey I dey take.
5 I swear I never act wicked and I never try deceive others.
6 Make God weigh me on top honest scale, and him go see how innocent I be.
7 If I don turn from right way or allow make evil do me, If sin stain me for hand,
8 Then let my plant destroy or make other people chop the food wey I plant.
9 If my neighbor wife don ever attract me, and I wait, hide, outside her door,
10 Then allow my wife cook food for another man and sleep for another man bed.
11 Na punishment of death suppose dey on top that kind wickedness.
12 That kind sin be like fire wey dey burn until e destroy everything. E go spoil everything wey I don work for
13 When any of my servant complain against me, I go hear and I go treat them good.
14 If I no do am, how I go take face God? Wetin I go talk when God come judge me?
15 The same God wey create me na him create my servant too.
16 I never refuse to help the poor, I never allow make widow dey live in pain.
17 Or allow orphan dey hungry wen I dey chop.
18 Na with all my life I don take care of them.
19 When I find person wey dey in need. Wey dey too poor to buy cloth,
20 I go give am cloth wey dem use wool make wey come from my own flock of sheep. Then him go praise me with all him heart.
21 If I don ever cheat orphan, wey I know say I fit win for court,
22 then make my hand break; make dem tear commot from my shoulder.
23 Because I dey fear God punishment, I no fit do that kain thing,
24 I never trust riches
25 Or dey proud for my wealth.
26 I never worship sun as e bright or moon for hin beauty.
27 Nobody don lead me go wrong way to honor them by kissing my hand to show them respect.
28 Na death suppose be the punishment of that kind sin; e dey deny Almighty God.
29 I no dey happy when my enemy dey suffer, or happy when disaster meet them,
30 I never sin by praying say make dem die.
31 All those wey dey work for me know say I dey always welcome stranger.
32 I dey invite people wey dey travel enter my house and I no dey allow them sleep for street.
33 Others dey try hide their sin, but I never hide my own.
34 I never fear wetin people go talk; I never keep quiet or stay inside house because I dey fear as dem dey mock me.
35 Shey nobody hear wetin I dey talk? I swear say na true I dey talk. Make Almighty God answer me. If dem write down the case wey my opponent bring against me so that I go fit see am,
36 I go wear am happily for my shoulder and put am for head like crown.
37 I go tell God everything wey I don do, and hold my head high for him presence.
38 If I don steal the land wey I dey farm and take am from the person wey really get am-
39 If I don chop the food wey grow for there, but allow hunger wire the farmer wey grow am-
40 Make weed and thistles grow for there, instead of wheat and barley.
