¹ Job con answer say:

² I swear by the living Almighty God, wey no gree give me justice and make my life bitter say,

⁵ I no go ever talk say your men dey right; I go stand on my innocence till the day wey I die.

⁶ I no go ever give up my claim to dey right; my conscience clear.

⁷ Make you punish those wey oppose me and fight against me like the wicked and the unrighteous.

⁸ Which kind hope dey for those wey no get god when God ask for their life?

⁹ When trouble come, shey God go hear as dem dey cry?

¹⁰ Dem for don ask for the joy wey him dey give; dem for don dey pray to him always.

¹¹ Make I teach una how great power of God be, and tell una wetin Almighty God don plan.

¹² But no, una don already see am by unaself; so why una dey talk nonsense?

¹⁴ Dem fit get plenty pikin, all of them go die for war; their children no dey ever get enough to chop.

¹⁵ Those wey survive na disease go kill them, and even their widow no go mourn their death.

¹⁶ The wicked fit get plenty silver to dey count and plenty cloth pass wetin anyone need;

¹⁷ But na good people go wear the cloth, and na person wey dey honest go get the silver.

¹⁸ Wicked people dey build house like spider dey build or like small house of slave wey dey guard field.

¹⁹ Dem fit get money when dem wan go lie down for bed, and when dem wake up, dem go see say their wealth don go.

²⁰ Terror go strike them like flood; and wind go blow them commot for night;

²¹ The east wind go sweep them commot from their house;

²² E go blow down on top them without pity as dem dey try escape.

²³ The wind go scream at them as dem dey run, e go make them fear with power wey dey destroy.
