Job 23

¹ Job con answer say:

² I still dey for sorrow and I dey complain against God; I no fit stop to dey complain.

³ I wish say I know where to find him, and make I know how to go where him dey.

⁴ I go bring my case to him and tender all argument for my favor.

⁵ I wan know wetin him go talk and how him go answer me.

⁶ Shey God go use all him strength against me? No, him go hear me as I dey talk.

⁷ I dey honest; I fit reason with God; him go make me innocent once and for all.

⁸ I don search for east, but God no dey there; I no find him when I search for west.

⁹ God don dey for work for north and south, but I still no see him.

¹⁰ And God still know every step I dey take; if him test me, him go find me pure.

¹¹ I dey follow the road wey him choose faithfully, and I no dey waka go another way.

¹² I dey always do wetin God command; I dey follow wetin him want, no be my own desire.

¹³ He no dey change. Nobody fit go against him or stop him make e no do wetin him wan do.

¹⁴ Him go make wetin him don plan for me happen; that plan na one of the plan out of plenty wey him get.

¹⁵ I dey shake with fear before him.

¹⁶ Almighty God don destroy my courage.

¹⁷ Na God dey make me fear, no be the dark, - even though say the darkness don make me blind.
