Make una no talk anything, and person go think say una wise;

Make una hear as I dey put my case down.

Why una dey lie? Una think say as una dey lie, God go enjoy am?

Shey una dey try defend him? Shey una go argue him case for court?

If God look una well, shey him go find anything good? Shey una think say una fit fool God the way una dey fool others?

Even though una dey hide una color, him go punish una,

and him power go full una with terrible fear.

Una proverb no get dey useful like ashes; una argument dey break down like clay.

Make una keep quiet and allow me talk, and allow the result be wetin dem go be.

I dey ready make I risk my life.

I don lose hope finish, so wetin e go be if God con kill me? I dey go put my case down for him.

My boldness fit even save me, since no wicked person go try face God.

Now make una hear wetin I wan explain.

I dey ready to state my case, because I know say I dey right.

God, you dey come accuse me? If you do am, I don ready to keep quiet and die.

Make I ask for two things; gree to am, and I no go try hide from you;

stop to dey punish me, and make you no destroy me with terrible fear.

O God, talk first and I go answer. Or allow me talk and you go answer me.

Wetin be my sin? Wetin dey wrong wey I don do? Which kind crime I don commit?

Why you dey avoid me? Why you dey treat me like enemy?

Shey you dey try make me fear? Na leaf I be; you dey attack grass wey don dry.

You bring bad case against me, even for wetin I do when I dey young.

You put chain for my leg; you dey watch every step I dey take, you even dey check my footprint.

Because of that, I scatter like wood wey don rotten, like moth wey dey chop cloth.
