Job 12

¹ Job con answer him friends say,

² “Una think say na una be the only wise person wey remain. Una think say when una die, wisdom go die with una.

³ But I get plenty sense as una get; una no smart pass me; una never talk wetin people no know before.

⁴ Even my friend dey laugh me now; dem dey laugh, although I dey righteous and I no get blame; but e get a time wey God been dey answer my prayer.

⁵ Una no get trouble, and yet una dey make fun of me; una jam person wey don almost fall already.

⁶ But thief and godless people dey live in peace, though na their own strength be their only god.

⁷ Even bird and animal get plenty wey dem fit teach una;

⁸ make una ask creature wey dey earth and sea for their wisdom.

⁹ All of them know say na God use him hand make them.

¹⁰ Na God dey direct the lives of him creature; everyone life dey for him power.

¹¹ But just the way una tongue dey enjoy dey taste food; una ear enjoy to dey hear word.

¹² Old people get wisdom, But God get wisdom and power.

¹³ Old people get understanding; God get understanding and power to act.

¹⁴ When God tear down, who fit rebuild, and who fit free those wey God put for prison?

¹⁵ Earth dey dry up when God hold rain; flood dey come when he allow water loose.

¹⁶ God dey strong and him dey always win. Person wey dey deceive and person wey dem dey deceive dey for him power.

¹⁷ He dey take away wisdom of ruler and make leader dey act like fool.

¹⁸ He dey commot king from throne and turn them prisoner;

¹⁹ he dey humble priest and men wey dey for power.

²⁰ He dey silent those wey people trust, and take away the wisdom wey old people get.

²¹ He dey disgrace those wey dey for power and put end to strength of rulers

²² He dey send light to dark place like death,

²³ He dey make nation strong and great, but then he dey defeat and destroy them.

²⁴ He dey make their leader foolish and make them waka around inside desert;

²⁵ Dem dey waka around for dark and dem dey stagger like drunkard.
