Isaiah 41
1 God talk say, �Make una dey silence and make una listen, una far lands! Make una get ready to present una case for court; una go get chance to talk. Make we come together to decide who dey right.
2 �Who be the one wey bring winners from the east, and who make am win for everywhere wey he go? Who give am victory on top kings and nations? Him sword dey strike dem down like say dem be dust. Him arrow dey scatter them like straw before wind.
3 He dey pursue and he dey march safely on top them, e dey fast so tey him leg no dey too touch ground!
4 Who be the person wey make this kind thing happen? Who don determine the course of the history? I, the LORD, I dey there from the beginning, and I, the LORD, go dey there for end.
5 �People of far lands don see wetin I don do; and fear dey make dem dey shake and fall. Naso all of them garther and come.
6 The craftsmen dey help and encourage one another.
7 The carpenter dey tell goldsmith say, �Well done!� The man wey dey beat idols smooth dey encourage the one wey dey nail am together. Dem talk say, �The joining dey good�- and dem use nail take hold the idols .
8 �But, Israel my servant, na una be the people wey I don chose, descendant of Abraham, my friend.
9 I bring you from end of the earth; I call you from far corners and tell you say, �You be my servant.� I no reject you, but I don chose you.
10 Make una no fear- I dey with una! I be una God- make una no allow anything fear una! I go make una dey strong and I go help una; I go protect una and safe una.
11 �Those wey dey vex with una go know shame of defeat. Those wey dey fight against una go die
12 And dem go disappear from the earth.
13 I be the LORD una God; I make una dey strong and I talk say, �Make una no fear; I go help una.��
14 God talk say, Israel, �As una dey small and weak, make una no fear; I go help una. I, the holy God of Israel, I be the one who dey save una.
15 I go make una like threshing board, with spears wey dey new and sharp. Una go move mountains and una go destroy them; hill go fall turn to dust.
16 Una go throway them for air and wind go carry them commot, and storm go scatter them. Then una go dey happy because I be una God; una go praise me, the holy God of Israel.
17 �When my people dey look for water in their need, when thirst fon make their throats dry, then I, the LORD, I go answer their prayers, I, the LORD, i go abandon them.
18 I go make rivers flow among their barren hills and I go make make spring of water run for the valleys. I go turn desert to pool of water and I go turn dry land to springs wey dey flow.
19 I go make cedar grow for desert, acacias and myrtles and olive trees. Forest go grow for barren land, forest of pine and juniper and cypress.
20 People go see this and dem go know say I, the LORD, I don do am. dem go con understand say the holy God of Israel don make am happen.�
21 The LORD, king of Israel, get wetin he wan talk: �Make una present una case, una gods of the nations. Make una bring the best argument wey una get!
22 Make una come predict wetin go happen, so that we go know am when e happen. Make una explain wetin don happen for past to court, and make una tell us wetin dem mean.
23 Make una tell us how future go be- then we go know say una be gods! Make una do something wey good or make una bring some disaster; make una fill us with fear and wonder!
24 Una and everything wey una dey do na nothing; those wey dey worship una dey smell bad!
25 �I don choose a man wey dey live for east; I go bring am make he attack from north. He dey crush rulers as if say dem be mud, like potter dey crush clay.
26 Which of una don predict say this go happen, so we fit talk say you dey right? None of una say anything about am; nobody hear una dey say anything!
27 I, the LORD, na me be the first to tell Zion the news; I send messenger go Jerusalem make he talk say, �Una people dey come! Dem dey come home!
28 When I con look among the gods, none of them get anything wey dem fit talk; none them fit answer the question wey I ask.
29 All these gods dey useless; dem no fit do anything at all- these idols dey weak and dem no get any power.�
