Isaiah 30

¹ God don talk say: “Those wey dey rule Judah don enter trouble because dem rebel against me. Dem follow the plan wey I no make, and dem sign agreement against my will, dem dey pile one sin on top another.

² Dem go to Egypt for help and dem no ask for my advice. Dem want make Egypt protect them, so dem put their trust in Egypt king.

³ But the king no get power to help them, and na trouble go end Egypt protection.

⁴ Although their ambassadors don already arrive for Egyptian city of Zoan and Hanes,

⁵ People of Judah go regret say dem do ever trust that nation wey no dey reliable, nation wey fail them when dem need help.”

⁶ Na message of God about the animal wey dey southern desert be this: “The ambassadors don travel through dangerous country, where lions dey live and where poisonous snake and flying dragon dey. Dem load their donkey and camel with expensive gift for nation wey no fit give them any help.

⁷ The help wey Egypt dey give dey useless, na so I give Egypt nickname, “Harmless Dragon’”.

⁸ God tell me say make I write down wetin the people be for book, so that permanent record of how evil dem be go dey.

⁹ Dem dey always go against God, dem dey always dey lie, always refuse to dey listen to teaching of God.

³ God go allow everybody hear him great voice and feel force of him anger. There go be flames, cloudbursts, hailstones, and heavy rain.

³ The Assyrian go fear when them hear voice of God and dem go feel the force of him punishment.

³ As God dey strike them again and again, him people go keep time with music of drum and harps. God himself go fight against Assyrians.
