Haggai 2

¹ God talk through prophet Haggai again, for 21st day of the seventh month of same year.

² He tell Haggai make he tell Zerubbabel wey be governor of Judah, Joshua wey be High priest, and the people, and tell them say,

³ Any of una fit remember how beautiful the Temple dey before? How e look to una now? E no fit look like anything at all.

⁴ Make any of una no dey discouraged. Make una do the work, I dey with una.

⁵ When una commot for Egypt I talk say I go dey with una, I still dey with una, so make una no fear.

⁶ I go shake heaven and earth, land and sea very soon.

⁷ I go overthrow all the nation and I go bring all their treasures come here, and wealth go full the Temple

⁸ All the silver and gold wey dey the world na my own.

⁹ Almighty God talk say, the new Temple go fine pass the old one, and na there I go give my people prosperity and peace.

¹⁰ Almighty God talk to prophet Haggai again for 24th day of nineth month for the second year wey Darius be emperor.

¹¹ He talk say, "Ask the priests wetin law talk about these things:

¹² if person carry meat wey dey among sacrifice with him cloth, if the cloth con touch bread, food wey dey don cook, wine, olive oil, or any food, the food go dey holy too? When him ask the question, the prophet talk say "NO".

¹³ And Haggai ask say, if person dey unclean because say him touch dead body, If he con touch any of these foods, that one go make them unclean too?" The priest talk say, "Yes"

¹⁴ Na so Haggai say, "God talk say na that kind thing dey for people of this nation and to everything wey dem produce; so everything wey dem offer for altar dey unclean."

¹⁵ God talk say, "una no see wetin happen to una? Before una start to dey rebuild the Temple,

¹⁶ Una go farm, when una wan harvest 200 kilogramme of corn but na only 100 dey. Una go won go collect hundred litres of wine for Vat, but na only forty una go see.

¹⁷ I send strong wind and hail make dem destroy wetin una try grow and una no still repent.

¹⁸ Today na 24th day of nineth month, the day wey una don finish the foundation of the Temple. See wetin go dey happen from now.

¹⁹ Even though corn no dey, and grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees never produce, still I go bless una from now."

²⁰ For that same day, wey be 24th day of the nineth month, God give Haggai second message.

²¹ for Zerubbabel wey be governor of Judah: "I don dey ready to shake heaven and earth

²² and overthrow kingdoms and I go end their power. I go over turn the chariots and their drivers; horses go die and their riders go kill themselves.

²³ And God talk say, for that day, I go take you, Zerubbabel my servant, and I go choose you and I go make you rule for my name. Na you I don choose."
