1 Jacob come hear as Laban son dey complain about him say, Jacob don take everything wey belong to our father, na from our father he get all him riches.
2 He come notice say Laban no dey friendly as he dey do before.
3 God come tell him, go back to your father land and go meet your relatives, I go be with you.
4 Naso Jacob send message to Rachael and Leah say make them meet him for field wey him animals dey.
5 He tell them say, "I don notice say your father no dey friendly as he dey do before, the God of my father dey with me.
6 Both of you know say I don work for your father with all the power wey I get.
7 But then he don cheat me and he don change my reward ten times, but God no allow him do bad things to me.
8 Anytime wey Laban talk say, "the goat wey get spot for body go be your reward, all the goat dey produce young ones wey get spot for body, and when he say the goat wey get line for body go be your reward, all the goats dey produce young ones wey get line for body.
9 God don take animals from your father and He don give them to me.
10 For breeding season, I dream say, the goat wey dey mate na the one wey get line and spot for body.
11 Angel of God come speak to me for dream say, "Jacob", and I answer say, "Yes."
12 All the male goats wey dey mate na the ones wey get line and spot for body. I dey make am happen like this because I don see everything wey Laban dey do to you.
13 Na me be God wey appear to you for Bethel. The place wey you pour olive oil on top stone and you dedicate am to me as memorial, the place wey you make vow to me. Go get ready to go back to the land wey dem born you.
14 Rachael and Leah come answer Jacob say nothing dey for us to inherit from our father.
15 He dey treat us like foreigners, he sell us and now he don spend all the money wey dem pay him untop us.
16 All the riches wey God don take from our Father belong to us and our children. Do anything wey God don tell you.
17 Naso Jacob come ready to go back to him father for land of Canaan. He put him children and him wives on top camels,
18 and he begin dey drive all him animals for him front with everything wey he don acquire for Mesopotamia.
19 The time wey them dey go, Laban no dey around, Rachael come steal him father idols and she take them with her.
20 Naso Jacob decieve Laban as he no allow him know say him dey leave.
21 He take everything wey him get and he leave in a hurry. He come cross Euphrate river he begin dey go hill country of Gilead.
22 Three days later, dem tell Laban say Jacob don go.
23 Naso he gather s group of him relatives. Naso he begin dey pursue Jacob. After seven days, he meet Jacob for the hill country of Gilead.
24 But for the previous night, God don appear to Laban for dream and He tell him say, "I dey warn you, leave Jacob alone."
25 Jacob don set him camp on top mountain, Laban come set him own camp for the hill country of Gilead.
26 Laban tell Jacob say, "Why you decieve me and carry my daughter like women wey dem capture for war?
27 Why you decieve me, you run away without telling me? If you don tell me, I for allow you go with celebration, with rejoicing and singing to music of tambourine and harp.
28 You no even allow me kiss my grand children and my daughter before them go. Na foolish thing to do be that.
29 I get the power to harm you but last night, God of your father don warn me make I no threaten you for anyway.
30 I know say you leave because you wan go back home. But why you steal the idols wey dey my house?
31 Jacob come answer, "I dey fear because I think say you go take your daughters from me.
32 But if you find out say anyone dey here with your idols, we go kill the person for here with our men as witness. Look for anything wey belong to you and take am." Jacob no know say Rachael don steal Laban idol.
33 Laban come search Jacob tent, he go to Leah tent and the tent of the two female slaves but he no find him idols. He come go to Rachael tent.
34 Rachael don go hide the idols for the bag wey dey beside camel and she dey sit in them. Laban come search every tenth but he no find them.
35 Rachael come tell her father say no vex with me, I no fit stand up for your presence, I dey do my monthly period. Laban search, but he no find the idol of him house.
36 Jacob come loose him temper and he ask with anger, "Wetin I don do you? Which kind law I don break wey give you right to dey hunt me down?
37 Now wey you don search everything wey I get, which household thing you don see wey belong to you? Bring am out for where my men and your men fit see am make we decide which one of us dey right.
38 I don dey with you now for twenty years, your sheep and your goats no dey fail to reproduce and I never eat any ram from your flocks.
39 Anytime wild animal kill your sheep, I dey always bear the loss and I never take am to you to show you say e no be my fault. Na you say make I dey pay you for anything wey dem steal either for day or for night.
40 Many times I dey suffer from heat during the day and cold for night, I no dey fit sleep.
41 Naso e be for twenty years wey I dey with you. I work for fourteen years so that you go fit give me your two daughters and six years so that you go give me animals, and on top everything you change my payment ten times.
42 If God of my fathers, God of Abraham and Isaac no dey with me, you for don send me away empty handed. But God don see my troubles and the work wey I don do, and last night He give him judgement.
43 Laban come answer Jacob, this young women na my daughters and their children na my own, this animals na my own dem be, infact, everything wey you dey see for here na me get am. But since I no fit do anything to keep my daughters and their children,
44 I don ready to make agreement with you. Make we make pile of stones to remind us of our agreement.
45 Naso Jacob take a stone and he set am up as memorial.
46 He tell the men say make them gather rocks and pile them up, dem come eat food beside the pile of rocks to remmeber wetin happen.
47 Laban come name the place Jegar_sahadutha and Jacob name am Galeed.
48 Laban come tell Jacob say, "This pile of rocks go be reminder for both of us." Na the reason why dem call the place Galeed.
49 Laban come also say, make God keep him eye on us as we dey seperate from each other. Naso dem also name the place Mizpah.
50 Laban come continue to dey talk and he say if you treat my daughters bad, or you go marry other women, even if I no know about am, remember say God dey watch us.
51 Na this be the rock wey I don pile up between us and na the memorial stone be this.
52 The pile and the memorial stone na reminder, I no go go beyond this pile to attack you and you must never go beyond this pile to attack me too.
53 God of Abraham and God of Nahor judge between us. Jacob come vow to keep this promise in the name of God wey him father Isaac worship.
54 He kill animal wey he offer as sacrifice on top the mountain and he call him men to come eat. After dem don eat, dem spend the night on top the mountain.
55 Early the next morning Laban come kiss him grand children and him daughter say goodbye and he come go back home.
