Ezra 10

¹ Ezra dey bow for prayer in front of the Temple, he dey cry and dey confess these sins. As e dey do am, a large group of Israelites - men, women, and children-dey gather round him, dem dey cry bitterly.

⁹ Within the three days, on the twentieth day of the ninth month, all the men wey dey live for the territory of Judah and Benjamin gather for Jerusalem in the temple square. Heavy rain dey fall, and because of the weather and how important the meeting be, everybody dey shake.

¹⁶ The people wey return from foreign land accept the plan, so Ezra the priest con appoint men from among the heads of the clans and record their names. Dem start their investigation on the first day of the tenth month,

¹⁷ And dem investigate all the cases of men with foreign wives within the next three months.

¹⁹ Dem promise to divorce their wives, and dem offer ram as sacrifice for their sins.
