1 God speak to me.
2 He talk say, "Mortal man", "tell people of Israel parable.
3 to let them know wetin I, the Almighty God, dey tell them: there was a big eagle wey get beautiful feather and big wing wey dey spread around. He fly go Lebanon mountain and break cedar tree top,
4 which he carry go land of commerce and put am for city of merchant.
5 Then he take young plant from land of Israel and plant am for fertile field, where water dey wey go make am grow.
6 The seed grow and become grapevine. Na good vine e be. The vine no tall, but spread cover large area. The vine grow stem and smaller grow very long.
7 "There was another big eagle wey get big wing and thick feather. And now the vine send it roots and leaves towards him with the hope say he go give am water than the garden where its dey grow.
8 But the vine don dey fertile land already, where plenty water dey wey go make am grow leave, be big vine and bear grape.
9 "So I, the Almighty God, ask: say this vine go live and grow? Say the first eagle no go pull am up with its root, pull the grape commot, and break the branches and make dem dry? E no go talk plenty stronght or strong nation anything to pull am up.
10 Yes, dey don plant am, but say e go live and grow? Say E no go dry if wind from east hit am? Say e no go die for there where it dey grow?"
11 God tell me say,
12 "Ask these people wey no dey obey me wetin the parable mean. Tell them say king of Babylonia come Jerusalem and carry the king with him official go back with him go Babylonia.
13 He carry one of the king family, make agreement with him and make am swear to dey loyal. He also carry important men wey dey the land.
14 so that the nation no go rise again and so that the agreement no go change.
15 But king of Judah disobey and send agent go Egypt make dem get horse and plenty army. Say he go succeed? Say he fit get awat with that? He no fit break the agreement and I no go punish am!
16 Almighty God say, "As surely as I be the living God, "this king go die for Babylonia because he don beak the promise and the agreement wey he don make with king of Babylonia who put am on top throne.
17 Even powerful army of king of Egypt no go fit help him fight when Babylonia build earthwork and dig hole so that dem fit kill plenty people.
18 He don break his promise and the agreement wey he don make, he don do all these thing and now he no go escape."
19 The Almighty God talk say, "As long as I be living God, I go punish him for breaking the agreement wey he swear to keep in my name.
20 I go spread out hunter net use am catch him. I go carry am go Babylonia and punish am for there, because he no dey faithful to me.
21 His soldier go die for battle, and the one wey survive go be scatter in all direction. Then you go know say I, the LORD, don speak."
22 This na wetin Almighty God say: "I go take branch from tal cedar tree. I go take small branch from top of the tree, and I myself go plant am on top high mountain.
23 E go grow branches and bear seed and become big cedar on top Israel high mountain. Bird of every kind go dey live for there and find shelter for under its shade.
24 All the trees for the land go know say I be God. I cut the tall tree down and I make the small tree grow tall. I make the green trees dry and I make the dry trees become green. I, the LORD, don speak amd I go do wetin I talk say I go do."
