Exodus 4

¹ Moses come answer God say, "Suppose say Israelites no believe me and dem no listen to wetin I talk. Wetin I go do if dem say you no appear to me?"

² God come ask him, "Wetin dey your hand?" He answer say "Na walking stick".

³ God say, "Throw am for ground." As Moses throw am for ground, e turn snake, na so Moses run.

⁴ God tell Moses say, "bend down make you pick am for tail." Na so Moses bend down and catch am, and e turn walking stick again.

⁵ God tell Moses say, "As you do am, you go prove to Israelites say na the LORD, God of their forefather, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob don appear to you.

⁶ God tell Moses again say, "Put your hand inside your cloth". Moses obey; when he bring out him hand, e don get disease wey be like white spots for hand, e be like snow.

⁷ God say make he put hand inside him cloth again. He do am, and when he bring him am out this time, the hand don return back to normal.

⁸ God say, "If dem no believe the first miracle, dem go believe this one.

⁹ If dem still no believe these two miracle wey you don perform, and if dem refuse to hear wetin you dey talk, take water for Nile River and pour am for ground. The water go turn blood.

¹⁰ But Moses talk say, "No, LORD, no send me. I no fit speak well, and I never still speak well since you don dey follow me talk. I dey speak slow, and I be stammerer.

¹¹ God tell him say, "Who give man mouth? Who dey make him deaf or dumb? Who dey give him sight, or make him blind? Na me, the LORD.

¹² Now, go! I go help you to speak, and I go tell you wetin to say."

¹³ But Moses reply say, "No, Lord, abeg send another person.

¹⁴ Now, God come get angry with Moses and say, "What of your brother Aaron, the Levite? I know say he fit speak well. In fact, he dey come meet you now, and he go dey happy to see you.

¹⁵ You fit follow him talk and tell him wetin to say. I go help both of una to speak, and I go tell una wetin to do.

¹⁶ He go be your spokesman, and he go dey talk to people on your behalf. So, you go be like God, wey dey tell him wetin to talk.

¹⁷ Carry the walking stick with you, go dey use am perform miracle.

¹⁸ Moses come go back to Jethro, him father-in-law, and tell him say, "Abeg allow me go back to Egypt, make I go see whether my family still dey alive." Jethro tell him say he fit go.

¹⁹ Before Moses commot for Midian, God tell him say, "Go back to Egypt, every person wey wan kill you don die."

²⁰ Na so Moses take him wife and sons, put them on top donkey, dem dey go Egypt.

²¹ God come tell Moses say, "When you reach Egypt, go meet Pharaoh and perform all miracle wey I don empower you to do. But I go make him dey stubborn, so he no go allow my people go.

²² Then you go tell him say Israel na my firstborn son.

²³ I command you say, make you allow my son to go, so that he go fit worship me. But since you no gree, I go kill your firstborn son.

²⁴ As dem dey go Egypt, for a place wey Moses and him family dey pass night, God come confront him, and he wan kill him.

²⁵ But Zipporah him wife come use stone cut off foreskin of her son. She come use him feet touch the foreskin of the son, say "you be covenant husband to me."

²⁶ Na so God take spare him life, because of wetin the wife do.

²⁷ God come tell Aaron, "Go meet Moses inside desert." Na so Aaron go meet Moses for holy mountain, and dem hug each other.

²⁸ Moses come tell Aaron everything God don command him to say. And he tell him about the miracle wey God don command him to perform.

²⁹ Na so Moses and Aaron go Egypt and dem gather Israel elders together.

³⁰ Aaron tell them everything God don tell Moses, and Moses come perform the miracle as dem dey watch.

³¹ People of Israel come believe say na God send Moses and Aaron. When dem hear say God get them for mind, and he don see all their problem, dem bow down and worship.
