Deuteronomy 11

¹ Moses tell people of Israel say: The LORD na una God, so una must always love him and obey him laws and commands.

² Remember say na una he correct, no be una children. Na una see God use him great power

³ when he perform miracle for Egypt, as he make terrible things happen to the king and him people.

⁴ And when Egyptian army chase una with their chariots. Una see as God make Red Sea swallow them and their horses. Egypt still dey suffer the defeat!

⁵ Una see wetin God do for una when una dey inside desert, reach the time una get here.

⁶ And una see how God make ground open up for middle of our camp under tent of Dathan and Abarim, and swallow them and their families, their animals, and their tents.

⁷ With una own eyes, una see God mighty power do all these things.

⁸ Una go soon cross Jordan River, and if una obey the laws and commands wey I dey give una today, una go dey strong enough to take the land

⁹ wey God promise una ancestors and their descendants. E dey rich with milk and honey, and una go live there and enjoy am for a long time.

¹⁰ The land better pass the one una get for Egypt, where una don suffer to water una crops.

¹¹ But na rain from heaven go dey water the hills and valleys for the promise land,

¹² because the LORD una God dey watch this land and take care of am all year long.

¹³ The LORD una God command una to love him and serve him with all una heart and soul. If una obey him,

¹⁵ he go send rain for right season, so una go get more than enough food, wine, and olive oil, and plenty grass go dey for una cattle.

¹⁶ But make una watch! Temptation go come say make una turn una back on God. And if una worship other gods,

¹⁷ God go vex and say make rain no fall. Nothing go grow for una fields, and una go die and disappear from the good land wey God dey give una.

¹⁸ Make una memorize these laws and think about them. Write down copies and tie am to una wrist and una foreheads to help una obey them.

¹⁹ Make una teach una children about them. Talk about them all the time "whether una dey house or una dey waka for road or una dey go sleep, or una dey wake up for morning.

²⁰ Make una write them for door frames of una house and una town gates.

²¹ Then una and una descendants go live a long time in the land wey God promise una ancestors. Una families go live there as long as sky still dey above earth.

²² Make una love the LORD una God faithfully and obey all the laws and command I dey give una today. If una live the way God want,

²³ he go help una take the land. And even if the nations wey dey there strong pass una, God go force them to leave when una attack.

²⁴ Una go take the land everywhere una go, from Southern Desert take reach Lebanon Mountains, and from Euphrates River west take reach Mediterranean Sea.

²⁵ No one go fit stand up to una, God go make everyone dey fear una, just as he don promise.

²⁶ Una get a choice " shey una want God to bless una, or una wan make he curse una?

²⁷ Today I dey give una him laws, if una obey him, he go bless una.

²⁸ But if una disobey him and go worship other gods wey never do anything for una, God go curse una.

²⁹ After the LORD una God don help una take the land, una must celebrate where una announce him blessings from Mount Gerizim and him curse from Mount Ebal.

³⁰ Una know say these two Mountains dey for west of Jordan River for the land wey Canaanites wey dey live for Jordan River valley dey control. The Mountains dey west of the road wey near the sacred trees of Moreh for other side of Gilgamesh.

³¹ Soon una go cross Jordan River to go take the land wey the LORD una God dey give una. And when una don settle for there,

³² make una dey careful to obey him laws and commands wey I dey give una today.
