1 O si ṣe li ọdun kẹrin Dariusi ọba, ọ̀rọ Oluwa tọ̀ Sekariah wá ni ijọ kẹrin oṣù kẹsan, Kislefi;
1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Darius, that the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah in the fourth day of the ninth month, even in Chisleu;
2 Nigbati nwọn rán Ṣereṣeri ati Regemmeleki, ati awọn enia wọn si ile Ọlọrun lati wá oju rere Oluwa.
2 When they had sent unto the house of God Sherezer and Regem-melech, and their men, to pray before the LORD,
3 Ati lati bá awọn alufa ti o wà ni ile Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun, ati awọn woli sọ̀rọ, wipe, Ki emi ha sọkun li oṣù karun, ki emi ya ara mi sọtọ, bi mo ti nṣe lati ọdun melo wonyi wá?
3 And to speak unto the priests which were in the house of the LORD of hosts, and to the prophets, saying, Should I weep in the fifth month, separating myself, as I have done these so many years?
4 Nigbana li ọ̀rọ Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun tọ̀ mi wá wipe,
4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying,
5 Sọ fun gbogbo awọn enia ilẹ na, ati fun awọn alufa, wipe, Nigbati ẹnyin gbawẹ̀ ti ẹ si ṣọ̀fọ li oṣù karun ati keje, ani fun ãdọrin ọdun wọnni, ẹnyin ha gbawẹ̀ si mi rara, ani si emi?
5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me?
6 Nigbati ẹ si jẹ, ati nigbati ẹ mu, fun ara nyin ki ẹnyin ha jẹ, ati fun ara nyin ki ẹnyin ha mu?
6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves?
7 Wọnyi kì ọ̀rọ ti Oluwa ti kigbe lati ọdọ awọn woli iṣãju wá, nigbati a ngbe Jerusalemu, ti o si wà li alafia, pẹlu awọn ilu rẹ̀ ti o yi i ka kiri, nigbati a ngbe gusù ati pẹtẹlẹ?
7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain?
8 Ọ̀rọ Oluwa si tọ̀ Sekariah wá, wipe,
8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying,
9 Bayi li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun sọ wipe, Dá idajọ otitọ, ki ẹ si ṣe ãnu ati iyọ́nu olukuluku si arakunrin rẹ̀.
9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:
10 Má si ṣe ni opó lara, tabi alainibaba, alejo, tabi talakà; ki ẹnikẹni ninu nyin ki o máṣe gbèro ibi li ọkàn si arakunrin rẹ̀.
10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
11 Ṣugbọn nwọn kọ̀ lati gbọ́, nwọn si gùn ejika, nwọn si di eti wọn, ki nwọn ki o má bà gbọ́.
11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
12 Ani nwọn ṣe aiya wọn bi okuta adamanti, ki nwọn ki o má ba gbọ́ ofin, ati ọ̀rọ ti Ọluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun ti fi ẹmi rẹ̀ rán nipa ọwọ awọn woli iṣãju wá: ibinu nla si de lati ọdọ Ọluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wá.
12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
13 O si ṣe, gẹgẹ bi o ti kigbe, ti nwọn kò si fẹ igbọ́, bẹ̃ni nwọn kigbe, ti emi kò si fẹ igbọ́, li Oluwa awọn ọmọ-ogun wi.
13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:
14 Mo si fi ãja tú wọn ka si gbogbo orilẹ-ède ti nwọn kò mọ̀. Ilẹ na si dahoro lẹhin wọn, ti ẹnikẹni kò là a kọja tabi ki o pada bọ̀: nwọn si sọ ilẹ ãyò na dahoro.
14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
