1 NITORINA alairiwi ni iwọ ọkunrin na, ẹnikẹni ti o wù ki o jẹ ti ndajọ: nitori ninu ohun ti iwọ nṣe idajọ ẹlomiran, iwọ ndá ara rẹ lẹbi; nitori iwọ ti ndajọ nṣe ohun kanna.

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

2 Ṣugbọn awa mọ̀ pe idajọ Ọlọrun jẹ gẹgẹ bi otitọ si gbogbo awọn ti o nṣe irú ohun bawọnni.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

3 Ati iwọ ọkunrin na ti nṣe idajọ awọn ti nṣe irú ohun bawọnni, ti iwọ si nṣe bẹ̃ na, iwọ ro eyi pe iwọ ó yọ ninu idajọ Ọlọrun?

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

4 Tabi iwọ ngàn ọrọ̀ ore ati ipamọra ati sũru rẹ̀, li aimọ̀ pe ore Ọlọrun li o nfà ọ lọ si ironupiwada?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5 Ṣugbọn gẹgẹ bi lile ati aironupiwada ọkàn rẹ, ni iwọ nfi ibinu ṣura fun ara rẹ de ọjọ ibinu ati ti ifihàn idajọ ododo Ọlọrun:

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6 Ẹniti yio san a fun olukuluku gẹgẹ bi iṣẹ rẹ̀:

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 Fun awọn ti nfi sũru ni rere-iṣe wá ogo ati ọlá ati aidibajẹ, ìye ainipẹkun;

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 Ṣugbọn fun awọn onijà, ti nwọn kò si gbà otitọ gbọ́, ṣugbọn ti nwọn ngbà aiṣododo gbọ́, irunu ati ibinu yio wà.

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

9 Ipọnju ati irora, lori olukuluku ọkàn enia ti nhuwa ibi, ti Ju ṣaju, ati ti Hellene pẹlu;

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

10 Ṣugbọn ogo, ati ọlá, ati alafia, fun olukuluku ẹni ti nhuwa rere, fun Ju ṣaju, ati fun Hellene pẹlu:

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

11 Nitori ojuṣaju enia kò si lọdọ Ọlọrun.

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

12 Nitori iye awọn ti o ṣẹ̀ li ailofin, nwọn ó si ṣegbé lailofin: ati iye awọn ti o ṣẹ̀ labẹ ofin, awọn li a o fi ofin dalẹjọ;

12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

13 Nitori kì iṣe awọn olugbọ ofin li alare lọdọ Ọlọrun, ṣugbọn awọn oluṣe ofin li a o dalare.

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 Nitori nigbati awọn Keferi, ti kò li ofin, ba ṣe ohun ti o wà ninu ofin nipa ẹda, awọn wọnyi ti kò li ofin, jẹ ofin fun ara wọn:

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Awọn ẹniti o fihan pe, a kọwe iṣẹ ofin si wọn li ọkàn, ti ọkàn wọn si njẹ wọn lẹri, ti iro wọn larin ara wọn si nfi wọn sùn tabi ti o ngbè wọn,

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 Li ọjọ na nigbati Ọlọrun yio ti ipa Jesu Kristi ṣe idajọ aṣiri enia gẹgẹ bi ihinrere mi.

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

17 Ṣugbọn bi a ba npè iwọ ni Ju, ti o si simi le ofin, ti o si nṣogo ninu Ọlọrun,

17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

18 Ti o si mọ̀ ifẹ rẹ̀, ti o si dán ohun ti o yàtọ wò, ẹniti a ti kọ li ofin;

18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

19 Ti o si gbé oju le ara rẹ̀ pe iwọ li amọ̀na awọn afọju, imọlẹ awọn ti o wà li òkunkun,

19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

20 Olukọ awọn alaimoye, olukọ awọn ọmọde, ẹniti o ni afarawe imọ ati otitọ ofin li ọwọ.

20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

21 Njẹ iwọ ti o nkọ́ ẹlomiran, iwọ kò kọ́ ara rẹ? iwọ ti o nwasu ki enia ki o má jale, iwọ njale?

21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

22 Iwọ ti o nwipe ki enia ki o máṣe panṣaga, iwọ nṣe panṣaga? iwọ ti o ṣe họ̃ si oriṣa, iwọ njà tẹmpili li ole?

22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 Iwọ ti nṣogo ninu ofin, ni riru ofin iwọ bù Ọlọrun li ọlá kù?

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

24 Nitori orukọ Ọlọrun sá di isọrọ-buburu si ninu awọn Keferi nitori nyin, gẹgẹ bi a ti kọ ọ.

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

25 Nitori ikọla li ère lõtọ, bi iwọ ba pa ofin mọ́: ṣugbọn bi iwọ ba jẹ arufin, ikọla rẹ di aikọla.

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

26 Nitorina bi alaikọla ba pa ilana ofin mọ́, a kì yio ha kà aikọla rẹ̀ si ikọla bi?

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

27 Alaikọla nipa ti ẹda, bi o ba pa ofin mọ́, kì yio ha da ẹbi fun iwọ ti o jẹ arufin nipa ti iwe ati ikọla?

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

28 Kì iṣe eyi ti o farahan ni Ju, bẹni kì iṣe eyi ti o farahan li ara ni ikọla:

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 Ṣugbọn Ju ti inu ni Ju, ati ikọla ti ọkàn, ninu ẹmi ni, kì iṣe ti ode ara; iyìn ẹniti kò si lọdọ enia, bikoṣe lọdọ Ọlọrun.

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
