1 NJẸ mo ni, Ọlọrun ha ta awọn enia rẹ̀ nù bi? Ki a má ri. Nitori Israeli li emi pẹlu, lati inu irú-ọmọ Abrahamu, li ẹ̀ya Benjamini.

1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

2 Ọlọrun kò ta awọn enia rẹ̀ nù ti o ti mọ̀ tẹlẹ. Tabi ẹnyin kò mọ̀ bi iwe-mimọ́ ti wi niti Elijah? bi o ti mbẹ̀bẹ lọdọ Ọlọrun si Israeli, wipe,

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

3 Oluwa, nwọn ti pa awọn woli rẹ, nwọn si ti wó awọn pẹpẹ rẹ lulẹ; emi nikanṣoṣo li o si kù, nwọn si nwá ẹmí mi.

3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

4 Ṣugbọn idahun wo li Ọlọrun fifun u? Mo ti kù ẹ̃dẹ́gbãrin enia silẹ fun ara mi, awọn ti kò tẹ ẽkun ba fun Baali.

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

5 Gẹgẹ bẹ̃ si ni li akokò isisiyi pẹlu, apakan wà nipa iyanfẹ ti ore-ọfẹ.

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

6 Bi o ba si ṣepe nipa ti ore-ọfẹ ni, njẹ kì iṣe ti iṣẹ mọ́: bi bẹ̃ kọ́, ore-ọfẹ kì iṣe ore-ọfẹ mọ́. Ṣugbọn biobaṣepe nipa ti iṣẹ́ ni, njẹ kì iṣe ti ore-ọfẹ mọ́: bi bẹ̃ kọ́, iṣẹ kì iṣe iṣẹ mọ́.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

7 Ki ha ni? ohun ti Israeli nwá kiri, on na ni kò ri; ṣugbọn awọn ẹni iyanfẹ ti ri i, a si sé aiya awọn iyokù le:

7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

8 Gẹgẹ bi a ti kọ ọ pe, Ọlọrun ti fun wọn li ẹmí orun: oju ki nwọn ki o má le woran, ati etí ki nwọn ki o má le gbọran, titi o fi di oni-oloni.

8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

9 Dafidi si wipe, Jẹ ki tabili wọn ki o di idẹkun, ati ẹgẹ́, ati ohun ikọsẹ, ati ẹsan fun wọn:

9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence unto them:

10 Ki oju wọn ki o ṣokun, ki nwọn ki o má le riran, ki o si tẹ̀ ẹhin wọn ba nigbagbogbo.

10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

11 Njẹ mo ni, Nwọn ha kọsẹ̀ ki nwọn ki o le ṣubu? Ki a má ri: ṣugbọn nipa iṣubu wọn, igbala dé ọdọ awọn Keferi, lati mu wọn jowú.

11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

12 Ṣugbọn bi iṣubu wọn ba di ọrọ̀ aiye, ati bi ifasẹhin wọn ba di ọrọ̀ awọn Keferi; melomelo ni kíkún wọn?

12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

13 Ẹnyin ti iṣe Keferi li emi sa mba sọrọ, niwọnbi emi ti jẹ aposteli awọn Keferi, mo gbé oyè mi ga:

13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

14 Bi o le ṣe ki emi ki o le mu awọn ará mi jowú, ati ki emi ki o le gbà diẹ là ninu wọn.

14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

15 Nitori bi titanù wọn ba jẹ ìlaja aiye, gbigbà wọn yio ha ti ri, bikoṣe iyè kuro ninu okú?

15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

16 Njẹ bi akọso ba mọ́, bẹ̃li akopọ: bi gbòngbo ba si mọ́, bẹ si li awọn ẹ̀ka rẹ̀ na.

16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

17 Ṣugbọn bi a ba yà ninu awọn ẹ̀ka kuro, ti a si lọ́ iwọ, ti iṣe igi oróro igbẹ́ sara wọn, ti iwọ si mba wọn pín ninu gbòngbo ati ọra igi oróro na;

17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18 Máṣe ṣe fefé si awọn ẹ̀ka na. Ṣugbọn bi iwọ ba nṣe fefé, iwọ kọ́ li o rù gbòngbo, ṣugbọn gbòngbo li o rù iwọ.

18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

19 Njẹ iwọ o wipe, A ti fà awọn ẹ̀ka na ya, nitori ki a le lọ́ mi sinu rẹ̀.

19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

20 O dara; nitori aigbagbọ́ li a ṣe fà wọn ya kuro, iwọ si duro nipa igbagbọ́ rẹ. Máṣe gbé ara rẹ ga, ṣugbọn bẹ̀ru:

20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

21 Nitori bi Ọlọrun kò ba da ẹ̀ka-iyẹka si, kiyesara ki o máṣe alaida iwọ na si.

21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22 Nitorina wo ore ati ikannu Ọlọrun: lori awọn ti o ṣubu, ikannu; ṣugbọn lori iwọ, ore, bi iwọ ba duro ninu ore rẹ̀: ki a má ba ke iwọ na kuro.

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

23 Ati awọn pẹlu, bi nwọn kò ba joko sinu aigbagbọ́, a o lọ́ wọn sinu rẹ̀: nitori Ọlọrun le tún wọn lọ́ sinu rẹ̀.

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

24 Nitori bi a ti ke iwọ kuro lara igi oróro igbẹ́ nipa ẹda, ti a si lọ́ iwọ sinu igi oróro rere lodi si ti ẹda: melomelo li a o lọ́ awọn wọnyi, ti iṣe ẹka-iyẹka sara igi oróro wọn?

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

25 Ará, emi kò sá fẹ ki ẹnyin ki o wà li òpe niti ohun ijinlẹ yi, ki ẹnyin má ba ṣe ọlọ́gbọn li oju ara nyin; pe ifọju bá Israeli li apakan, titi kíkún awọn Keferi yio fi de.

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 Bẹ̃li a o si gbà gbogbo Israeli là; gẹgẹ bi a ti kọ ọ pe, Ni Sioni li Olugbala yio ti jade wá, yio si yi aiwa-bi-Ọlọrun kuro lọdọ Jakọbu:

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 Eyi si ni majẹmu mi fun wọn, nigbati emi o mu ẹ̀ṣẹ wọn kuro.

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28 Nipa ti ihinrere, ọtá ni nwọn nitori nyin: bi o si ṣe ti iyanfẹ ni, olufẹ ni nwọn nitori ti awọn baba.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

29 Nitori ailábámọ̀ li ẹ̀bun ati ipe Ọlọrun.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30 Nitori gẹgẹ bi ẹnyin kò ti gbà Ọlọrun gbọ́ ri, ṣugbọn nisisiyi ti ẹnyin ri ãnu gbà nipa aigbagbọ́ wọn:

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 Gẹgẹ bẹ̃li awọn wọnyi ti o ṣe aigbọran nisisiyi, ki awọn pẹlu ba le ri ãnu gbà nipa ãnu ti a fi hàn nyin.

31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 Nitori Ọlọrun sé gbogbo wọn mọ pọ̀ sinu aigbagbọ́, ki o le ṣãnu fun gbogbo wọn.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

33 Ã! ijinlẹ ọrọ̀ ati ọgbọ́n ati ìmọ Ọlọrun! awamáridi idajọ rẹ̀ ti ri, ọ̀na rẹ̀ si jù awari lọ!

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 Nitori tali o mọ̀ inu Oluwa? tabi tani iṣe ìgbimọ rẹ̀?

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counseller?

35 Tabi tali o kọ́ fifun u, ti a o si san a pada fun u?

35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 Nitori lati ọdọ rẹ̀, ati nipa rẹ̀, ati fun u li ohun gbogbo: ẹniti ogo wà fun lailai. Amin.

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
