1 ẼṢE ti awọn orilẹ-ède fi nbinu fùfu, ati ti awọn enia ngbero ohun asan?
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 Awọn ọba aiye kẹsẹ jọ, ati awọn ijoye ngbimọ pọ̀ si Oluwa ati si Ẹni-ororo rẹ̀ pe,
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Ẹ jẹ ki a fa ìde wọn já, ki a si mu okùn wọn kuro li ọdọ wa.
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 Ẹniti o joko li ọrun yio rẹrin: Oluwa yio yọ ṣùti si wọn.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
5 Nigbana ni yio sọ̀rọ si wọn ni ibinu rẹ̀, yio si yọ wọn lẹnu ninu ibinujẹ rẹ̀ kikan.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Ṣugbọn mo ti fi Ọba mi jẹ lori Sioni, òke mimọ́ mi.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 Emi o si rohin ipinnu Oluwa: O ti wi fun mi pe, Iwọ li Ọmọ mi, loni ni mo bi ọ.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Bère lọwọ mi, emi o si fi awọn orilẹ-ède fun ọ ni ini rẹ, ati iha opin ilẹ li ọrọ̀-ilẹ rẹ.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Ọpá irin ni iwọ o fi fọ́ wọn; iwọ o si rún wọn womuwomu, bi ohun èlo amọ̀.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Njẹ nitorina ki ẹnyin ki o gbọ́n, ẹnyin ọba: ki a si kọ́ nyin, ẹnyin onidajọ aiye.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Ẹ fi ìbẹru sìn Oluwa, ẹ si ma yọ̀ ti ẹnyin ti iwarìri.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
