¹ EMI o fẹ ọ, Oluwa, agbara mi.

¹ I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.

² Oluwa li apáta mi, ati ilu-olodi mi, ati olugbala mi: Ọlọrun mi, agbara mi, emi o gbẹkẹle e; asà mi, ati iwo igbala mi, ati ile-iṣọ giga mi.

² The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

³ Emi o kepè Oluwa, ti o yẹ lati ma yìn; bẹ̃li a o si gbà mi lọwọ awọn ọta mi.

³ I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

⁴ Irora ikú yi mi ka, ati iṣàn-omi awọn enia buburu dẹ̀ruba mi.

⁴ The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

⁵ Irora ipò okú yi mi kakiri: ikẹkun ikú dì mi mu.

⁵ The sorrows of hell compassed me about: the snares of death prevented me.

⁶ Ninu ìṣẹ́ mi emi kepè Oluwa, emi si sọkun pe Ọlọrun mi: o gbohùn mi lati inu tempili rẹ̀ wá, ẹkún mi si wá si iwaju rẹ̀, ani si eti rẹ̀.

⁶ In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.

⁷ Nigbana ni ilẹ mì, o si wariri: ipilẹ òke pẹlu ṣidi, o si mì, nitoriti o binu.

⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was wroth.

⁸ Ẹ̃fin ti iho imu rẹ̀ jade, ati iná lati ẹnu rẹ̀ wá njonirun: ẹyín gbiná nipasẹ rẹ̀.

⁸ There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

⁹ O tẹri ọrun ba pẹlu, o si sọkalẹ wá: òkunkun si mbẹ li abẹ ẹsẹ rẹ̀.

⁹ He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰ O si gùn ori kerubu o si fò: nitõtọ, o nra lori iyẹ-apa afẹ́fẹ́.

¹⁰ And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly: yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.

¹¹ O fi òkunkun ṣe ibi ìkọkọ rẹ̀: ani agọ́ rẹ̀ yi i ka kiri; omi dudu, ati awọsanma oju-ọrun ṣiṣu dudu.

¹¹ He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

¹² Nipa imọlẹ iwaju rẹ̀, awọsanma ṣiṣu dùdu rẹ̀ kọja lọ, yinyín ati ẹyín iná.

¹² At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

¹³ Oluwa sán ãra pẹlu li ọrun, Ọga-ogo si fọ̀ ohùn rẹ̀: yinyín ati ẹyín iná!

¹³ The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

¹⁴ Lõtọ, o rán ọfa rẹ̀ jade, o si tú wọn ká: ọ̀pọlọpọ manamana li o si fi ṣẹ́ wọn tũtu.

¹⁴ Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

¹⁵ Nigbana li awowò omi odò hàn, a si ri ipilẹ aiye nipa ibawi rẹ, Oluwa, nipa fifun ẽmi iho imu rẹ.

¹⁵ Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

¹⁶ O ranṣẹ́ lati òke wá, o mu mi, o fà mi jade wá lati inu omi nla.

¹⁶ He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

¹⁷ O gbà mi lọwọ ọta mi alagbara, ati lọwọ awọn ti o korira mi; nitori nwọn li agbara jù mi lọ.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.

¹⁸ Nwọn dojukọ mi li ọjọ ipọnju mi: ṣugbọn Oluwa li alafẹhintì mi.

¹⁸ They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

¹⁹ O mu mi jade pẹlu sinu ibi nla; o gbà mi nitori inu rẹ̀ dùn si mi.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

²⁰ Oluwa san a fun mi gẹgẹ bi ododo mi; gẹgẹ bi mimọ́ ọwọ mi li o san a fun mi.

²⁰ The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

²¹ Nitori mo ti nkiye si ọ̀na Oluwa, emi kò fi ìka yà kuro lọdọ Ọlọrun mi.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

²² Nitori pe gbogbo idajọ rẹ̀ li o wà niwaju mi, bẹ̃li emi kò si yẹ̀ ofin rẹ̀ kuro lọdọ mi.

²² For all his judgments were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me.

²³ Emi si duro ṣinṣin pẹlu rẹ̀, emi si paramọ kuro lara ẹ̀ṣẹ mi.

²³ I was also upright before him, and I kept myself from mine iniquity.

²⁴ Nitorina li Oluwa ṣe san a fun mi gẹgẹ bi ododo mi, gẹgẹ bi mimọ́ ọwọ mi li oju rẹ̀.

²⁴ Therefore hath the LORD recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

²⁵ Fun alãnu ni iwọ o fi ara rẹ hàn li alãnu; fun ẹniti o duro-ṣinṣin ni iwọ o fi ara rẹ hàn ni diduro-ṣinṣin.

²⁵ With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright;

²⁶ Fun ọlọkàn-mimọ́ ni iwọ o fi ara rẹ hàn ni ọlọkàn-mimọ́; ati fun ọlọkàn-wiwọ ni iwọ o fi ara rẹ hàn li onroro.

²⁶ With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward.

²⁷ Nitori iwọ o gbà awọn olupọnju; ṣugbọn iwọ o sọ oju igberaga kalẹ.

²⁷ For thou wilt save the afflicted people; but wilt bring down high looks.

²⁸ Nitori iwọ ni yio tàn fitila mi: Oluwa Ọlọrun mi yio tàn imọlẹ si òkunkun mi.

²⁸ For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.

²⁹ Nitori pe pẹlu rẹ emi sure là inu ogun lọ: ati pẹlu Ọlọrun mi emi fò odi kan.

²⁹ For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.

³⁰ Bi o ṣe ti Ọlọrun ni, ọ̀na rẹ̀ pé: a ti ridi ọ̀rọ Oluwa: on li apata fun gbogbo awọn ti o gbẹkẹle e.

³⁰ As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

³¹ Nitori pe tani iṣe Ọlọrun, bikoṣe Oluwa? tabi tani iṣe apáta bikoṣe Ọlọrun wa?

³¹ For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

³² Ọlọrun li o fi agbara dì mi li amure, o si mu ọ̀na mi pé.

³² It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

³³ O ṣe ẹsẹ mi bi ẹsẹ àgbọnrín, o si gbé mi kà ibi giga mi.

³³ He maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places.

³⁴ O kọ́ ọwọ mi li ogun jija, tobẹ̃ ti apa mi fà ọrun idẹ.

³⁴ He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.

³⁵ Iwọ ti fi asà igbala rẹ fun mi pẹlu: ọwọ ọ̀tun rẹ si gbé mi duro, ati ìwa-pẹlẹ rẹ sọ mi di nla.

³⁵ Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation: and thy right hand hath holden me up, and thy gentleness hath made me great.

³⁶ Iwọ sọ ìrin ẹsẹ mi di nla nisalẹ mi, ki kóko-ẹsẹ mi ki o máṣe yẹ̀.

³⁶ Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

³⁷ Emi ti le awọn ọta mi, emi si bá wọn: bẹ̃li emi kò pada sẹhin titi a fi run wọn.

³⁷ I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

³⁸ Emi ṣá wọn li ọgbẹ ti nwọn kò fi le dide, nwọn ṣubu li abẹ ẹsẹ mi.

³⁸ I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet.

³⁹ Nitoriti iwọ fi agbara di mi li àmure si ogun na: iwọ ti mu awọn ti o dide si mi tẹriba li abẹ ẹsẹ mi.

³⁹ For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

⁴⁰ Iwọ si yi ẹhin awọn ọta mi pada fun mi pẹlu; emi si pa awọn ti o korira mi run.

⁴⁰ Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me.

⁴¹ Nwọn kigbe, ṣugbọn kò si ẹniti o gbà wọn; ani si Oluwa, ṣugbọn kò dá wọn li ohùn.

⁴¹ They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the LORD, but he answered them not.

⁴² Nigbana ni mo gún wọn kunna bi ekuru niwaju afẹfẹ: mo kó wọn jade bi ohun ẹ̀gbin ni ita.

⁴² Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.

⁴³ Iwọ ti yọ mi kuro ninu ìja awọn enia; iwọ fi mi jẹ olori awọn orilẹ-ède: enia ti emi kò ti mọ̀, yio si ma sìn mi.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

⁴⁴ Bi nwọn ti gburo mi, nwọn o gbà mi gbọ́: awọn ọmọ àjeji yio fi ẹ̀tan tẹ̀ ori wọn ba fun mi.

⁴⁴ As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me.

⁴⁵ Aiya yio pá awọn alejo, nwọn o si fi ibẹ̀ru jade ni ibi kọlọfin wọn.

⁴⁵ The strangers shall fade away, and be afraid out of their close places.

⁴⁶ Oluwa mbẹ; olubukún si li apáta mi; ki a si gbé Ọlọrun igbala mi leke.

⁴⁶ The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted.

⁴⁷ Ọlọrun li o ngbẹsan mi, ti o si nṣẹ́ awọn enia fun mi.

⁴⁷ It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.

⁴⁸ O gbà mi lọwọ awọn ọta mi: pẹlupẹlu iwọ gbé mi leke jù awọn ti o dide si mi lọ; iwọ ti gbà mi lọwọ ọkunrin alagbara nì.

⁴⁸ He delivereth me from mine enemies: yea, thou liftest me up above those that rise up against me: thou hast delivered me from the violent man.

⁴⁹ Nitorina li emi ṣe fi iyìn fun ọ, Oluwa, li awujọ awọn orilẹ-ède, emi o si ma kọrin iyìn si orukọ rẹ.

⁴⁹ Therefore will I give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and sing praises unto thy name.

⁵⁰ Ẹniti o fi igbala nla fun Ọba rẹ̀; o si fi ãnu hàn fun Ẹni-ororo rẹ̀, fun Dafidi, ati fun iru-ọmọ rẹ̀ lailai.

⁵⁰ Great deliverance giveth he to his king; and sheweth mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
