¹ OLUWA, ranti Dafidi ninu gbogbo ipọnju rẹ̀:

¹ LORD, remember David, and all his afflictions:

² Ẹniti o ti bura fun Oluwa, ti o si ṣe ileri ifẹ fun Alagbara Jakobu pe.

² How he sware unto the LORD, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

³ Nitõtọ, emi kì yio wọ̀ inu agọ ile mi lọ, bẹ̃li emi kì yio gùn ori akete mi;

³ Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

⁴ Emi kì yio fi orun fun oju mi, tabi õgbe fun ipenpeju mi,

⁴ I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

⁵ Titi emi o fi ri ibi fun Oluwa, ibujoko fun Alagbara Jakobu.

⁵ Until I find out a place for the LORD, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

⁶ Kiyesi i, awa gburo rẹ̀ ni Efrata: awa ri i ninu oko ẹgàn na.

⁶ Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

⁷ Awa o lọ sinu agọ rẹ̀: awa o ma sìn nibi apoti-itisẹ rẹ̀.

⁷ We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

⁸ Oluwa, dide si ibi isimi rẹ; iwọ, ati apoti agbara rẹ.

⁸ Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

⁹ Ki a fi ododo wọ̀ awọn alufa rẹ: ki awọn enia mimọ rẹ ki o ma hó fun ayọ̀.

⁹ Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

¹⁰ Nitori ti Dafidi iranṣẹ rẹ, máṣe yi oju ẹni-ororo rẹ pada.

¹⁰ For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

¹¹ Oluwa ti bura nitõtọ fun Dafidi; on kì yio yipada kuro ninu rẹ̀, Ninu iru-ọmọ inu rẹ li emi o gbé kalẹ si ori itẹ́ rẹ.

¹¹ The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

¹² Bi awọn ọmọ rẹ yio ba pa majẹmu mi mọ́ ati ẹri mi ti emi o kọ́ wọn, awọn ọmọ wọn pẹlu yio joko lori itẹ́ rẹ lailai.

¹² If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

¹³ Nitori ti Oluwa ti yàn Sioni; o ti fẹ ẹ fun ibujoko rẹ̀.

¹³ For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

¹⁴ Eyi ni ibi isimi mi lailai: nihin li emi o ma gbe; nitori ti mo fẹ ẹ.

¹⁴ This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

¹⁵ Emi o bukún onjẹ rẹ̀ pupọ̀-pupọ̀: emi o fi onjẹ tẹ́ awọn talaka rẹ̀ lọrùn.

¹⁵ I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

¹⁶ Emi o si fi igbala wọ̀ awọn alufa rẹ̀: awọn enia mimọ́ rẹ̀ yio ma hó fun ayọ̀.

¹⁶ I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

¹⁷ Nibẹ li emi o gbe mu iwo Dafidi yọ, emi ti ṣe ilana fitila kan fun ẹni-ororo mi.

¹⁷ There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

¹⁸ Awọn ọta rẹ̀ li emi o fi itiju wọ̀: ṣugbọn lara on tikararẹ̀ li ade rẹ̀ yio ma gbilẹ.

¹⁸ His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
