1 NITORINA bi itunu kan ba wà ninu Kristi, bi iṣipẹ ifẹ kan ba si wà, bi ìdapọ ti Ẹmí kan ba wà, bi ìyọ́nu-anu ati iṣeun ba wà,
1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2 Ẹ mu ayọ̀ mi kún, ki ẹnyin ki o le jẹ oninu kanna, ki imọ̀ nyin ki o ṣọkan, ki ẹ si ni ọkàn kan.
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3 Ẹ máṣe fi ìja tabi ogo asan ṣe ohunkohun: ṣugbọn ni irẹlẹ ọkàn ki olukuluku ro awọn ẹlomiran si ẹniti o san ju on tikararẹ̀ lọ.
3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4 Ki olukuluku nyin ki o máṣe wo ohun tirẹ̀, ṣugbọn olukuluku ohun ti ẹlomiran.
4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5 Ẹ ni ero yi ninu nyin, eyi ti o ti wà pẹlu ninu Kristi Jesu:
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6 Ẹniti o tilẹ jẹ aworan Ọlọrun, ti kò ka a si iwọra lati ba Ọlọrun dọgba:
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 Ṣugbọn o bọ́ ogo rẹ̀ silẹ, o si mu awọ̀ iranṣẹ, a si ṣe e ni awòran enia.
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 Nigbati a si ti ri i ni ìri enia, o rẹ̀ ara rẹ̀ silẹ, o si tẹriba titi di oju ikú, ani ikú ori agbelebu.
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Nitorina Ọlọrun pẹlu si ti gbé e ga gidigidi, o si ti fi orukọ kan fun u ti o bori gbogbo orukọ:
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 Pe, li orukọ Jesu ni ki gbogbo ẽkun ki o mã kunlẹ, awọn ẹniti mbẹ li ọrun, ati awọn ẹniti mbẹ ni ilẹ, ati awọn ẹniti mbẹ nisalẹ ilẹ;
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11 Ati pe ki gbogbo ahọn ki o mã jẹwọ pe, Jesu Kristi ni Oluwa, fun ogo Ọlọrun Baba.
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Nitorina ẹnyin olufẹ mi, gẹgẹ bi ẹnyin ti ngbọran nigbagbogbo, kì iṣe nigbati mo wà lọdọ nyin nikan, ṣugbọn papa nisisiyi ti emi kò si, ẹ mã ṣiṣẹ igbala nyin yọri pẹlu ìbẹru ati iwarìri,
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 Nitoripe Ọlọrun ni nṣiṣẹ ninu nyin, lati fẹ ati lati ṣiṣẹ fun ifẹ inu rere rẹ̀.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Ẹ mã ṣe ohun gbogbo li aisi ikùnsinu ati ijiyan.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 Ki ẹnyin ki o le jẹ alailẹgàn ati oniwa tutu, ọmọ Ọlọrun, alailabawọn, larin oniwà wíwọ ati alarekereke orilẹ-ede, larin awọn ẹniti a nri nyin bi imọlẹ li aiye;
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Ẹ si mã na ọwọ ọ̀rọ ìye jade; ki emi ki o le ṣogo li ọjọ Kristi pe emi kò sáre lasan, bẹni emi kò si ṣe lãlã lasan.
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17 Ani, bi a tilẹ tú mi dà sori ẹbọ ati iṣẹ isin igbagbọ́ nyin, mo yọ̀, mo si mba gbogbo nyin yọ̀ pẹlu.
17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18 Bakanna ni ki ẹnyin ki o mã yọ̀, ki ẹ si mã ba mi yọ̀ pẹlu.
18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
19 Ṣugbọn mo ni ireti ninu Jesu Oluwa, lati rán Timotiu si nyin ni lọ̃lọ yi, ki emi pẹlu le ni ifọkanbalẹ nigbati mo ba gburó ijoko nyin.
19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.
20 Nitori emi kò ni ẹni oninu kanna ti o dabi rẹ̀, ti yio ma fi tinutinu ṣe aniyan nyin.
20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
21 Nitori gbogbo wọn ni ntọju nkan ti ara wọn, kì iṣe nkan ti iṣe ti Jesu Kristi.
21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.
22 Ṣugbọn ẹnyin ti mọ̀ ọ dajudaju, pe gẹgẹ bi ọmọ lọdọ baba rẹ̀, bẹ̃li o si ti mba mi ṣiṣẹ pọ̀ ninu ihinrere.
22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.
23 Nitorina on ni mo ni ireti lati rán si nyin nisisiyi, nigbati mo ba woye bi yio ti ri fun mi.
23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.
24 Ṣugbọn mo gbẹkẹle Oluwa, pe emi tikarami pẹlu yio wá ni lọ̃lọ.
24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.
25 Mo ka a si pe n ko le ṣairan Epafroditu arakunrin mi si nyin, ati olubaṣiṣẹ mi ati ọmọ-ogun ẹgbẹ mi, ṣugbọn iranṣẹ nyin, ati ẹniti nṣe iranṣẹ fun mi ninu aini mi.
25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.
26 Nitoriti ọkàn rẹ̀ fà si gbogbo nyin, o si kún fun ibanujẹ, nitoriti ẹnyin ti gbọ́ pe on ti ṣe aisan.
26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick.
27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
28 Nitorina ni mo ṣe fi titara-titara rán a, pe nigbati ẹnyin ba si tún ri i, ki ẹnyin ki o le yọ̀, ati ki ibanujẹ mi ki o le dínkù.
28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.
29 Nitorina ẹ fi ayọ̀ pupọ gbà a nipa ti Oluwa; ki ẹ si ma bù ọlá fun irú awọn ẹni bẹ̃:
29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:
30 Nitoripe nitori iṣẹ Kristi li o ṣe sunmọ ẹnu-ọ̀na ikú, ti kò si kà ẹmí ara rẹ̀ si, lati mu aitó iṣẹ isin nyin si mi kun.
30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
