1 GBOGBO awọn agbowode ati awọn ẹlẹṣẹ si sunmọ ọ lati gbọ́ ọ̀rọ rẹ̀.
1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him.
2 Ati awọn Farisi ati awọn akọwe nkùn, wipe, ọkunrin yi ngbà ẹlẹṣẹ, o si mba wọn jẹun.
2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
3 O si pa owe yi fun wọn, wipe.
3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying,
4 Ọkunrin wo ni ninu nyin, ti o ni ọgọrun agutan, bi o ba sọ ọ̀kan nù ninu wọn, ti kì yio fi mọkandilọgọrun iyokù silẹ ni iju, ti kì yio si tọsẹ eyi ti o nù lọ, titi yio fi ri i?
4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
5 Nigbati o si ri i tan, o gbé e le ejika rẹ̀, o nyọ.
5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
6 Nigbati o si de ile, o pè awọn ọrẹ́ ati aladugbo rẹ̀ jọ, o nwi fun wọn pe, Ẹ ba mi yọ̀; nitoriti mo ri agutan mi ti o ti nù.
6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.
7 Mo wi fun nyin, gẹgẹ bẹ̃li ayọ̀ yio wà li ọrun lori ẹlẹṣẹ kan ti o ronupiwada, jù lori olõtọ mọkandilọgọrun lọ, ti kò ṣe aini ironupiwada.
7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.
8 Tabi obinrin wo li o ni fadaka mẹwa bi o ba sọ ọkan nù, ti kì yio tàn fitilà, ki o si gbá ile, ki o si wá a gidigidi titi yio fi ri i?
8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?
9 Nigbati o si ri i, o pè awọn ọrẹ́ ati awọn aladugbo rẹ̀ jọ, o wipe, Ẹ ba mi yọ̀; nitori mo ri fadakà ti mo ti sọnù.
9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.
10 Mo wi fun nyin, gẹgẹ bẹ̃li ayọ̀ mbẹ niwaju awọn angẹli Ọlọrun lori ẹlẹṣẹ kan ti o ronupiwada.
10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
11 O si wipe, ọkunrin kan li ọmọkunrin meji:
11 And he said, A certain man had two sons:
12 Eyi aburo ninu wọn wi fun baba rẹ̀ pe, Baba, fun mi ni ini rẹ ti o kàn mi. O si pín ohun ìni rẹ̀ fun wọn.
12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living.
13 Kò si to ijọ melokan lẹhinna, eyi aburo kó ohun gbogbo ti o ni jọ, o si mu ọ̀na àjo rẹ̀ pọ̀n lọ si ilẹ òkere, nibẹ̀ li o si gbé fi ìwa wọ̀bia na ohun ini rẹ̀ ni inákuna.
13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living.
14 Nigbati o si bà gbogbo rẹ̀ jẹ tan, ìyan nla wá imu ni ilẹ na; o si bẹ̀rẹ si idi alaini.
14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want.
15 O si lọ, o da ara rẹ̀ pọ̀ mọ́ ọlọ̀tọ kan ni ilẹ na; on si rán a lọ si oko rẹ̀ lati tọju ẹlẹdẹ.
15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.
16 Ayọ̀ ni iba fi jẹ onjẹ ti awọn ẹlẹdẹ njẹ li ajẹyó: ẹnikẹni kò si fifun u.
16 And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.
17 Ṣugbọn nigbati oju rẹ̀ walẹ, o ni, Awọn alagbaṣe baba mi melomelo li o ni onjẹ ajẹyó, ati ajẹtì, emi si nkú fun ebi nihin.
17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!
18 Emi o dide, emi o si tọ̀ baba mi lọ, emi o si wi fun u pe, Baba, emi ti dẹṣẹ si ọrun, ati niwaju rẹ;
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,
19 Emi kò si yẹ, li ẹniti a ba ma pè li ọmọ rẹ mọ́; fi mi ṣe bi ọkan ninu awọn alagbaṣe rẹ.
19 And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants.
20 O si dide, o si tọ̀ baba rẹ̀ lọ. Ṣugbọn nigbati o si wà li òkere, baba rẹ̀ ri i, ãnu ṣe e, o si sure, o rọ̀mọ́ ọ li ọrùn, o si fi ẹnu kò o li ẹnu.
20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.
21 Ọmọ na si wi fun u pe, Baba, emi ti dẹṣẹ si ọrun, ati niwaju rẹ, emi kò yẹ li ẹniti a ba ma pè li ọmọ rẹ mọ́.
21 And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son.
22 Ṣugbọn baba na wi fun awọn ọmọ-ọdọ rẹ̀ pe, Ẹ mu ãyo aṣọ wá kánkán, ki ẹ si fi wọ̀ ọ; ẹ si fi oruka bọ̀ ọ lọwọ, ati bàta si ẹsẹ rẹ̀:
22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
23 Ẹ si mu ẹgbọ̀rọ malu abọpa wá, ki ẹ si pa a; ki a mã jẹ, ki a si mã ṣe ariya:
23 And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:
24 Nitori ọmọ mi yi ti kú, o si tún yè; o ti nù, a si ri i. Nwọn si bẹ̀re si iṣe ariya.
24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry.
25 Ṣugbọn ọmọ rẹ̀ eyi ẹgbọn ti wà li oko: bi o si ti mbọ̀, ti o sunmọ eti ile, o gbọ́ orin on ijó.
25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26 O si pè ọkan ninu awọn ọmọ-ọdọ wọn, o bère, kili ã mọ̀ nkan wọnyi si?
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 O si wi fun u pe, Aburo rẹ de; baba rẹ si pa ẹgbọ̀rọ malu abọpa, nitoriti o ri i pada li alafia ati ni ilera.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 O si binu, o si kọ̀ lati wọle; baba rẹ̀ si jade, o si wá iṣipẹ fun u.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.
29 O si dahùn o wi fun baba rẹ̀ pe, Wo o, lati ọdún melo wọnyi li emi ti nsin ọ, emi kò si ru ofin rẹ ri: iwọ kò si ti ifi ọmọ ewurẹ kan fun mi, lati fi ba awọn ọrẹ́ mi ṣe ariya:
29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends:
30 Ṣugbọn nigbati ọmọ rẹ yi de, ẹniti o fi panṣaga run ọrọ̀ rẹ, iwọ si ti pa ẹgbọ̀rọ malu abọpa fun u.
30 But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.
31 O si wi fun u pe, Ọmọ, nigbagbogbo ni iwọ mbẹ lọdọ mi, ohun gbogbo ti mo si ni, tìrẹ ni.
31 And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine.
32 O yẹ ki a ṣe ariya ki a si yọ̀: nitori aburo rẹ yi ti kú, o si tún yè; o ti nù, a si ri i.
32 It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
